Unicornvape's latest product is a unique take on a classic Italian sweet, combining the sweetness of cannoli with a fruity cereal base, creamy whipped cream and refreshing lime zest. Although I've had several attempts at cannoli flavours, I'm still searching for the perfect taste - the unique complexity of cannoli makes it a real challenge to accurately recreate the flavour. In any case, this version is a great combination of the dessert's distinctive sweet and slightly sour notes, adding a new dimension and experience to steaming. Such well-tuned, multi-layered dessert flavours always remain a particular favourite of mine when steaming, and Bam Bam's Cannoli could easily fall into this category.
Upon opening the bottle, a lime-infused, ricotta pasta scent emanates from it, which is really enticing and has a pleasantly intense effect on my senses . The pastry itself appears almost immediately in my imagination, as the scent perfectly reproduces the aroma promised by the manufacturer.
On inhalation, the creamy texture of the rich, sweet ricotta is immediately perceptible, providing the base for steaming with its silky sweetness. As the flavours continue to unfold on the exhale, the tart, spicy taste of lime provides an exciting contrast to the sweetness of the ricotta, but without becoming dominant: it subtly enriches the cream, adding an extra layer to the dessert experience. The more intense, "oily" lime notes unfold in a refreshing way, so that the softness of the cream honey is well balanced by the tart character of the lime. Notes of baked pasta in the background complete the dessert, creating an authentic cannoli experience where crunchy pasta and creamy filling come to the fore together. The strong presence of creamy ricotta dominates the steaming throughout, as promised by the manufacturer. The 'fruity cereal base' and the colourful sugary oatmeal mentioned on the packaging are also present, although they are not discernible separately due to the complexity of the flavour profile. These elements probably contribute more to the depth of the flavour, with a discreet sweetness and a slight cereal tone. Overall, we get a harmonious, layered flavour experience that delivers flavours of ricotta cream, lime and baked pasta in excellent balance.
I was able to get it on sale, but the current price is close to €10. It's worth waiting for the discounts as it could be available for half price.
