Someone please inform me. Is the FDA the only ones that know the exact progress of this? Do any of you work for the FDA =). Are we talking days, weeks, months?

Anyone know?

We know what you know!

P.S. Why are you starting all these new threads? You asked this same question in the other thread you started "I am about to become a reseller and have a few questions"

Ok.

So the FDA has already declared that they are an unapproved medical device. Making the sale and promotion of them illegal. Also, telling customs to stop any packages that they see.

So why are you still able to get products? Two reasons:

1. Customs has bigger things to deal with then some techno smokes. However, when they see them, they will often stop them.

2. Many of us, SE and njoy included, believe that the FDA doesn't have the right to regulate e-cigs. They can say or declare whatever they want, the question is will it hold up in court. The SE/Njoy lawsuit will prove to break the back of the e-cig industry or be our great rallying cry.

In short. They are already banned. Its just not enforced completely yet.

Remember prohibition? T
They may ban them but they will never stop them.
I will just put heavier springs and air shocks on my car, soup up the engine, and become a vaporshiner.

How about "moonfogger"? It has a certain ring about it.

Count me out of the underground. I'm an upstanding law abiding citizen (true, my hobbies include brushing my teeth and eating broccoli, not a lot of people know that about me.)

I'd never ever participate in having fun of any sort.

Who am I kidding? I'll be extracting PG from my toothpaste if that's what it takes.

They won't make it illegal to own PV's.....they'll just make it illegal to sell or import them, throttling the supply and forcing the public to abandon them as they run out . You can continue to use your stuff, and not break any laws.

Remember radar detectors? You can buy one, you can own one, you can carry it in your car, but you can't USE it to detect when an officer is clocking you for speed? Same deal.

While anyone will admit it's impossible to prohibit an individual from assembling a vaporizer, any ban is nonetheless a death knell.

It would eliminate hope for a mass market, and remove from the marketplace one of the potentially most effective harm reduction products for smokers seeking a way off cigarettes. Many present users would return to cigarettes when their e-cig components fail. Thousands could die later as a result of that decision.

With similar bans popping up around the globe, it would force Chinese makers to pull back on production, making future items both scarce and more expensive. Rules on Internet commerce, shipment to private residences, payment procedures, will all likely be tightened until e-smokers are a cult group smaller than crack users.

Oh yeh, e-cigs might still exist. But the dream we have of a healthier addiction will die with the Senate bill on harm reduction products and the FDA actions against our "drug" product. Yes, I'm depressed about this -- and the mindset I've witnessed during Senate committee hearings. I don't understand how they cannot see the full consequences of their actions.

Interesting thing isn't it? If they successfully kill e-cigarettes, I think history will eventually mark the whole thing as another one of the FDA's resounding failures to act in the best interest of the public.

Unfortunately a good number of us will return to smoking analogs and won't be around to see this marked as that footnote.
