I have a BC-8 battery charger and would like to charge 14500 900mAH batteries for my box mod. I don't have the slightest idea about anything electrical and would not know how to even hook them up. I used the charger when I was flying remote control airplanes, which was a disaster, but I'm guessing those batteries were meant for a faster discharge and not protected. My questions are;

Do you think the BC-8 is an over-kill and something from Radio Shack would be more practical? I only charge three of these batteries at a time, but it's an every day thing and I want a more quality charger then what came with it. Any suggestions?

Ummmm, for safety I think you should immediately package the charge and send it to me.... :)

That's one serious charger!!
On a serious note, if you had a harness to fit your batteries, and checked the maximum
charging current and voltages for the brand - size batteries you have..... the charger appears
programmable enough to set the charge V & I low enough to be safe and charge nicely.
But you are in uncharted waters here, testing in a fireproof area would be advisable.

The temp probe and auto shutoff timer are a definite plus.
