According to the sure Plarkinjr sir they're regular size. If memory serves on the old site the value kit came with the generic kr808 batts, and the mini kit was the shorties (hence it being called mini kit). Hopefully someone will be by to clarify. There's nothing wrong with the shorties though, best airflow, and even the old school ones had a great voltage hold to time ran ratio.

The kit description says standard, but the only thing offered when you choose configuration is shorties.... hence my confusion. I want to get my friend a shorty-auto, and manual-regular just to help her decide what route to take on follow-on orders. I may build my own kit al a carte if there's no plan to get regular length batts back into the value kit configurator.

Thanks!

No problem Plarkinjr sir. If the value kit is the generic shorties like it used to be, it would be beyer to order her something else. In my last blog on the V4L site make mention of the difference between them and the branded ones. They don't last as long, have shorter cut offs, and they don't have the same voltage output to time used ratio as a branded V4L shorty.
