I would think USB port quality varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. I mean, there is no one standard USB port that I know of, and the newer smartphones are doing that rapid charge thing, where I guess the battery can "tolerate" a more rapid charge.

I don't have a smok mod so I'm not sure what they recommend, but I'd suppose (hopefully) that if they say it can be done, it's fine. With that said, manufacturers are also "inflating" specs of their boards, or rather stating their mod can fire at things like 237 watts, when they absolutely cannot, given the batteries available today. I just try to use my good sense in these matters, but I really prefer external charging when I can.

I was thinking more of the physical build. Inserting and pulling out the charging cord constantly from a mod is like doing it with a phone. Is the physical construction, internal mounting, and circuit board connection made for the long haul.

I use the USB charger because the mod manufacturer recommends it. But, with all mod brands, if the USB is used, is it well-made enough to last comparably to that of a cell/smart phone?

For me, and my particular mod, I will use the USB and if it dies, then I start switching out batteries and using my battery charger.

As someone's question was up top; when I choose and buy a mod is the USB port connection of the same quality that I would find in an Apple, Samsung, etc. phone? Will it work effectively for the life of the mod?

Just throwing out the thought. I am glad that people here post on the experience with their mods, toppers, etc. Its great to hear the mod review when it first comes out, but what about the performance review at the end? It helps each of us in our purchases.
