Some have tried it ... If you aren't using a regulated switch, you would probably be talking about close to 8v ... With a regulated switch, somewhere in the 6.5v ballpark.

You can do it I'm sure, and the resistor/switch should handle it without issue, but it likely won't taste the best ...
