This may not be correct but by searching New Energy battery as well as Yondeli, which is what the PB video labeled this as, it leads to a page that says they are part of PTI group.

If that is the case then it links PTI to Universal Battery, FDK, SAFT, Varta, Boston Power, Energizer, Duracell, Panasonic, Omnicell, Tadiran, Molicell, Arts Energy, K2 Energy, and Mascot.

Shenzhen Century New Energy Battery Co. Ltd

Is the only name as well that comes back in the search. There is no listing for Shenzhen Youngdeli New Energy Co. I don't know if it's the same or if the company has changed names but I find it strange either way.
So being a 2 year old video, has anyone looked to see if it is still running or owned by the same people? Like I said my searching links to either same company with a new name or company was sold to someone else.

Ephraim, I still miss you. I wish you guys would stop reminding me he's not here anymore :( And I don't care if he's on VU or Reddit) because it's not the same without All of Us. LOL.

Maybe I can hunt him down and convince a moderator to let him come back (that's what moved on means, right? Or did he tantrum leave.)

If it's the latter, POINT ME. I just got a terminally alcoholic friend of my sisters to some place of sanity. POINT ME to where Ephraim is, and I will BRING HIM BACK if it's the last thing I DO.

LOL

batteries, schmatteries..... nothing new here. BUT, anyone lucky enough to be following this thread got to witness the unthinkable. @Eskie successfully executed a perfect cop and drop on the same page of the same thread. I've heard of this, but I always chalked it up to urban legend. The dude has mad skills . Props to you, buddy .:rickroll::party::toast::thumbs::lol::w00t::eek::shock::blink::)

@BillW50 out of curiosity, do you use aspire batteries exclusively?
Nope, just their 26650 cells which Aspire rates them at 20A continuous discharge and Mooch rates them at 30A continuous discharge.

Normally I use Samsung 25R 18650 for 18650 mods. I've seen their spec sheet and it is quite impressive. They can handle a 20A charge for two hours at 20V and they won't blow. And they take a half charged (the last half is the most dangerous part for a lithium as they get hotter - higher internal resistance) and place a 0.08Ω load across the terminals for 8 minutes. My calculations thinks the cell must be dead or near dead about this time anyway. They still don't blow. Pretty impressive, they still probably couldn't pass the drill bit test which drains the cell in seconds.

I have no idea. Maybe Tony of Aspire gave up his share in the company and went to rewraps. As it appears vapers don't care for safer cells for vaping and nobody is interested. Like many in this thread can sadly attest to. And maybe the Yongdeli company alone couldn't make it without Tony's big pockets.

I've always liked the 25r's...used them for a couple years before switching to vtc5a's. I was only asking because of your apparent passion for Aspire batteries. I figured they were either keeping you up to your ears in free cells or you've been using them and had first hand experience with how they actually perform in the real world .

I don't think Tony was the big pocket. It's a situation of investment companies buying companies and such. Tony is an investor, gets things going takes the profit and then flips the investment when more is to be made, just like buying stocks but being more hands on in this situation.

Honestly many companies are owned by investment corps. They buy companies usually quietly and the company continues to run but really in name only. They make money letting people think it's the same old thing but in reality it isn't. A good example is Remington and Winchester, they are advertised as a family company over hundred years old but the family long sold the company and they are ran by names investors, where the bottom line matters most.

Again vapers do care but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. The Aspire battery is smoke and mirrors just like many others. They tell you all these numbers but they aren't real. They are tested in controlled environments under perfect conditions, with a 100% perfect battery.

In reality there is no perfect environment and all the batteries coming out aren't perfect. Now you know that as well as I and many others, but there are many people who do not. They don't know how these numbers are made but assume they are real and useful. They believe they are safe but in reality they may be pushing the limits due to poor statistical numbers.

Aspire is no worse than many others but not better either. They aren't giving a true number of what the battery can realistically due. Look they list a max amp but they don't tell you how long or how many times it can do that max/pulse rating. So a pulse rating is about as useful as a speedometer that reads 160, especially when the car is programmed to cut off at 95.

If Aspire invented a super safe, great lion battery, wouldn't this be a major break-thru in the battery world?
Wouldn't it have been cloned by now?
Perhaps Sony cloned the aspire battery. Give me a minute....I'm going to grab my drill and a vtc5. I'll let you know....

I'd dial 9 - 1 right before you do your Experiment.

That way, if you Blow your Hand Off, you can just Mash your Stump in the Upper L/H corner of the phone's keypad.
