How come the volcano usb charger and PCC will not charge the joye 306 battery?

Also, i am scared to retry but when i put the joye 510 battery into the volcano usb charger the battery blinked a few times then the usb's led turned green indicating a full charge (which it was) when i plug the drained 306 battery in nothing happens to the battery or the usb charger's led.

Is it possible it works on the joye 510 (180mA) and not the 306 (150mA)? That doesn't make much since given that all 3 atomizers are interchangeable. Could someone please clear this up for me.

I don't know exactly what you are talking about (specific models), but electrically speaking, reversed means reversed.
If they are reversed, then "Model A" has the center hooked to battery positive with the jacket/outside of the atty/body hooked up to negative, and "Model B" the other way round (center pin hooked to negative, and the jacket hooked to positive). In which case, no, the chargers would not work for the other model's battery. (I don't know this is the case, I was just explaining what they meant by "reversed")

As far as why it still works, the atomizer is nothing more than a light bulb that doesn't emit light. It has a filament that gets hot when current passes through it (in either direction). It IS NOT like an LED that only lets electricity go one way.

as explained by interestingfellow, an atty does not care about polarity. However a battery does. Reverse charging can lead to battery overheating and possibly explosion. Reverse charging is usually encountered when you stack batteries and one discharges faster than the other, but purposefully reverse charging on a charger will achieve the same result. You can't always trust the safety circuitry of the battery and charger.

In short, don't do it.

I don't know about the 306. If the polarity is reversed and it didn't do anything, you're lucky. It'll burn up a 510 battery. The eGo charger is designed to charge the big bat quickly. The 510 can't take it. You can charge an eGo on a 510 charger. I just takes a lot longer. However, you cannot charge a 510 on an eGo charger.
