The batteries and charger are integral to your set up working properly. It is imperative to have quality name brand versions of both in the proper chemistry. You do not have to break the bank by any means, but something like http://www.amazon.com/NiteCore-Inte...F8&qid=1400239936&sr=8-1&keywords=nitecore+i2 (also check out Xtar and Pila) will give you as much safety and performance as possible.

One of these Amazon.com: Free US Ship Lipo Battery Fireproof Bag Storage Bag Lipo Battery Guard Safe Bag Fiber Material for Charge & Storage 30x23cm: Toys & Games is also a great idea :)

Batteries and chargers is not the place to skimp and try to save money on. A quality name brand charger, is not only safer, but better at charging and maintaining the life of ones batteries. Both my chargers have real time volt meters on them, so know the charge of my batts when needing charging. This lets me know if I've been over draining them, how well they been holding up, and can easily see how close the are to fully charged.

I own both the Xstar VP1 and the Efest LUC V4. Can charge up to 6 batts at a time, and the Efest will charge 26650's and has a usb port too.
