is it okay to use 2.4 ohm atomizer (single coil) with vivi nova and evod VV twist at any voltage? What voltage should i be using with this coil ? it can go from 3.2 - 4.8V?

is it okay to use 1.8 ohm atomizer (dual coil) and 2.2 ohm atomizer (dual coil) with kanger pro 2 tanks and evod VV twist at any voltage? What voltage should i be using with this coil ? it can go from 3.2 - 4.8 V??

No one specifically answered this so I may ask again, "Is it okay to use an EGO joyetech charger with an evod VV twist battery ?

How do I clean the top part of the battery and the clearomizer/ glassomizer / atomizer ?

Thanks for all your advice !

Can kanger Evod batteries like explode in your face while you use them?

Can kanger pro 2 and 2 mini glass tanks explode from kanger evod batteries if they are on high voltage ?

Mine says it goes up to 4.8 VV.

Can batteries explode while being charged?

That 4.8v reading is the result of a boost circuit inside the Evod that is powered by the battery. The battery is at a much lower voltage. It's feeding the circuit inside that boosts the voltage.

Lithium Ion batteries top stop at 4.2v. The charger stops charging at that point. Your Evod can continue to produce 4.8v until the electronics decide that the battery is no longer sufficiently charged to continue. Then the mod will flash an LED in the fire button to let you know it needs a battery charge and then stop working until you charge it.

Exploding batteries do occur, but it happens very infrequently unless they are shorted or damaged. Most of the ones you read about in the paper or see on the news are the result of replaceable battery mods that don't protect against reverse installation or other user error situations. The ones that do are usually in mods that use replaceable batteries, not the sealed battery that's part of your Evod.

You should always respect the fact that it can happen and be careful to allow your mod or battery to cool for a few minutes before you plug it into a charger. Don't walk outside or leave the room for an extended period with the charger plugged in. If something does happen like spewing or smoke, unplug the charger and drop it into a metal trash can or a sink. Lots of us charge batteries on the kitchen counter for that reason.

The glass in the tank can break from dropping, but it won't explode because you are vaping at 4.8v. Your Kanger Evod will cut off before it will get you in trouble with resistance, voltage, and current draw.

@tara81 Yay, your paranoid like me. I'm not alone
K so I started off like you except it was a crappy device, it leaked and then I got an istick 20
I used prebuilt coils because I was nervous of building.
My istick and the former both had inbuilt batteries. I made sure they were always in view. I never leave the house or even take a shower and leave them on.
Never use any old charger. Always the one that came with the device, or buy a new one if you have to.
The time will hopefully come when you get a mod with removable batts. I bought my first charger from eBay.
No no. It got warm so I chucked it and bought one from Nitecore themselves.

Ask the guys on here to tell you bout companies that sell authentic batts.

Very para this one but I like to wait hours before charging/discharging batteries. It comes out the mod & I wait 3 hours and then charge it or off the charger and wait 3 hours before going in the mod.
All these tips and me and my face are still together.
Use YouTube to find out when you need to learn, and the guys on here have been a fantastic help.

Now I use mechs, rebuild coils and make my own juice.
Sos for super long post.

Be safe and vape on

What websites ?

Sorry I am offline after work..

Chinese sites:
Best Ecig Online Store - Worldwide Free Shipping - China Dropshipping -Focalecig
FastTech - Gadgets and Electronics
http://www.heavengifts.com/
Ultimate Mechanical/Box Mod & Atomizer Store - 3FVape

If the sites say "Authentic" then most likely they are (they've gotten better about this). If it says "1:1" or "Style", or even "clone", then they are reproductions of the auth version.

You can certainly use those resistances on the VV device. You should start at 3.2 v and work your way up until you find the sweet spot (the point that is enjoyable to you). The important thing here is that those devices have a resistance cutoff. I'll venture a guess and say they won't fire anything below 1 ohm ( a.k.a. sub-ohm), so any coilhead resistance above 1 ohm (or whatever the cutoff is for the device) is doable and anything below that the device just won't fire.

To clean the evod, use a dry paper towel to get into the 510 threading and out threading of the ego connection. this will soak up any leaked juice and clean the threads too. the clearomizer shold be disassembled regularly and washed with hot water/soap, then thoroughly dried.

2 years is pretty old for those egos. If it works well, you should be fine to use them. They are getting fairly cheap nowadays, so maybe pick up one on your next order. Use the older one(s) until then...

so if it fits onto the connector it will work just fine.
Unless either the charger or the battery have non-standard polarity. Blu ecigs, for example, have a "standard" 510 threading that will screw into other batts/chargers just fine, but instead of center-positive, they use a center-negative polarity for the electrical connection. When you're just running power through the coil wire in a cartridge or atomizer, this does not make any difference which way the electrons flow, but if you try to charge it backwards, you're gonna have a bad time. There may be others that are reversed, as well. I don't know what all of them are, that's why it's generally recommended to only use the charger that came packaged with the battery.

Understood, thanks bdub. I had a Kanger evod as my first true device (not manually variable, so different than the referenced device) and used ego chargers, that were not specific to the device, without issue. But yes, @tara81 to be safe, one should use a known compatible charger. They can be found for cheap.
