battery orientation in mini

hello all! I am a newbie to the REO mini and have a question.
must the batteries be put in + at the top? I just acquired a mini and have noticed when the little nub (+) of the aw IMR 14500 is at the top I am still able to fire when the button is switched off, if i flip the battery and put the flat top (-) up the atty will not fire when switched off. Is there any reason I can not just flip the battery?

button top aw battery? it should not be firing when turned off! contact rob. id definitely keep the positive end up.you could flip just to store when not in use . could short out though if used wrong? ?

shouldnt make any difference as long as its operating fine

it has been fine, i usually pay no attention when using flat top batteries in my other mod if im just using one... just curious if i am in danger or the battery may be... also the little nub fits perfectly in the open ring of the spring.

Hi Troy...
So being that your Mini is designed to not fire when the switch is in the off position, I strongly suggest that you contact Rob via PM (redeyedancer) He may have a quick fix available for you or may need to adjust something on your mod. Don't get me wrong, I know the thought of parting with it seems blasphemous at best, but if there is a problem, it should be fixed.
