Just trying to get even more understanding on batteries. I don't really want to get into sub ohm set-ups and have been safe, at least as much as I understand about battery safety.
I have been rebuilding my coils around 1.1-1.5 ohms, always checking them on a vamo v2 to see if they settle in and stay at the same ohm over the course of a day or two. I am trying to understand ohm's law and just seeing if I have the math right.
I use efest 2000mah imr 18650 in my k100 and I like to build the coil around 1.1-1.3. If I did the math right (assuming the voltage of the battery is at 4.2, fully charged) the amps are around 3.8ish and the battery, from what I can find, is rated for 5amps, so this should be ok. And I am at 16 watts.
Do I have the math right and is this safe for this kind of battery?

Side note. I have a very basic electronics background, mostly from building small projects and just being curious. The simpler that you could explain it the better, but I am not coming from a complete lack of understanding. Just not enough of a background to feel completely confident and just want to make sure.
