Hi Guys have a question on batterys and hope im saying it right. anyway i have 2 battery automatic and a manuel. worked great for 3 months. Now all of a sudden the automatic battery didnt work like it did before. seems that drawing on the carto is much harder. still works a little but not much. same thing happenned to one of my manuel batterys just like that. Does this mean the battery is going bad? I do hope you understand what im talking about. but if i put a adapter on say a kr808 to 901 whatever then it gets easy to draw again. why is this and should i can the batteries or what? i do clean then every nite. i just wipe threads with alchohal with a q tip and then i try to wipe the middle post hole with a dry q tip. i do not stick anything in the post hole cause iu dont want to damage anything.
so does this happen to batts or its unusal? these 2 batterys worked great when i first got them until lately.
Thanks for any info. Happy vaping to all

Yea, I am having a similar problem on one of my auto batteries. I have to suck REALLY hard just to get the light to turn on and I can't figure out why. It was NOT like this until recently. I keep the ends clean and always make sure the holes are clear, but it still takes a lot of effort to get it to turn on. I know it's not the cart because I can put it on my other auto and it works like a charm.

Any other suggestions besides cleaning?

Hey Kimmy thanks for super quick reply. yeh i have other batterys plus a few Mods but ya know how it goes these 2 were my favs. so sorry to see them go. i am stubbern though i will not give them a funeral just yet.
Firegrl well you heard Kimmy so Good luck to you. Try like i did and put an adapter of some sort on it. anything that fits between battery and carto and see if that helps you some. I get too easy drag that way but maybe thatll work for you. and thanks Kimmy.

Cos, you may want to watch this video. If nothing works, you may try to raise the center post a little, sometimes it sinks and doesn't make a good connection. Just grab a pin or paper clip and GENTLY insert in all the airholes, one at a time, and see if the post will go up a little. And make sure it's level. That helped me. There is a video somewhere that Leaford posted once, but I don't have the time now to look for it.

Good luck. Here's the cleaning video.

Ok guys gals i did what you told me to do and they as good as new again. the holes were clogged and also not the post hole but outside the post hold just before the threads. there is a thin channel around there. that was clogged too with dirt and lint. Cleaned them all out and the batterys are working great again. Thanks to all of you for the help. Much appreciated.
Firegrl i hope you get your batterys to work good again. Good luck

This is something that I wish more people would understand. And it's really hard to describe where needs cleaning.

Everytime, before I put my battery on the charger, I take a dry paintbrush and wipe out the liquid residue inside that little rim so I do not have to clean that gunk out later when it has dried. Pointed q-tips, pipecleaners, needle, etc. also work great to get that stuff out of there. I know when I use to have to clean out the dried up stuff I used a mini latchhook needle with paper towel on the end until black no longer showed up on the paper towel.

I also forgot the mention that one of those sewing pencils with the cap that has those plastic bristles (stiff ones) works great for scrubing without any damage.

Well done! And hey - gotta keep 'em guessing, right? ;)

Yeah, Lynn's brain is rather sexy. I wanna do naughty things to it. :hubba:

Sounds vaguely nasty. Interesting - but vaguely nasty. :p

Doesn't seem hard to explain to me. Just takes about two thousand words. ;) Here are those two thousand and change:

I'm sure I've clarified this in a different thread around here, but I love the quote and it bears repeating. I'm evil, but in an interesting way.

There is nothing garden variety about me, thankyousoVERYmuch. Well... aside from the minions. But you've GOTTA have minions, right? It's unavoidable. Like trimming your toenails.

Here's a great tip I'd like to share, but all I use is the manual ones. I'm not sure it will work with autos, and I'm not sure it will help consistently. I think it will, just not sure because I just found out.

I'm only screwing the carto just tight enough to make the electrical contact, and then just ever so slightly past, to barely tighten it. I really rather have it tight, at least when driving or when I can't continuously tend to it. Is it possible that this new way I'm trying really is helpful? So far the last few hours it seems so, anyway, to me.
