battery safety features and rebuildable atomizers?

Its not really a problem because I use hellosmoke twist now. But I have 2 joyetech ego batteries and a no name pass thru. When I build a coil in the phoenix or rainbow atomizer with 32 gauge kanthal it comes out from 1.4 to 1.9 ohms. It won't fire the joye or pass thru, however if I build a coil in a vivi nova, same ohms, no problem. It's not a problem on any APVs or my variable voltages. Does anyone know what the deal with this is? Has anyone else had this problem. I realise I need to build a higher resistance coil to make it work, using 36 gauge works

Dont know if you solved this or not, but i would check the contact on the bottom of the rebuildables, or possibly the battery contact being depressed.
