It's a life affected so I won't judge on what the man did.

But let's be honest. Apv is a tool. A tool do not harm a life unless it is wielded incorrectly. Such is the case for driving car or operating heavy machinery like chainsaw.

We need to read up on essential knowledge to use and maintain our tool. A poorly maintained chainsaw for an example. Use it and the sharp chain may break, fragmenting into your face.

A race car with poorly maintained engine? Well that's a fire waiting to happen.

Whether it's a mech mod or a regulated mod, safety safety safety. Read up on ohms law. Read up on battery safety. There are many resources online just for this. If you are new to vape, God darn it use a vape calculator. Be aware, don't be a dumbshat. Feel the mod getting hot beyond normal? Stop using it, take the batt out and put in a safe place to vent.

It's a life at stake and also another bullet for the media to foster fear in the uneducated.

And for God's sake, vaping is not cool. It's not a toy. Use it responsibly and we might win a chance at winning the public over.

You and I, we represent the vaper's community.

Edited cause I just thought of another analogy.

Think of vape as a gun and battery as bullet. If you load a poorly maintained/low quality bullet and load it up, there's a higher chance of chamber explosion.

I dislike them using the term 'smoking' in their articles. For goodness sake if they cannot even find out the correct terms, they wanna blast the vaping world with their so called researches? The researchers really sound like amateurs to me.
I thought I was the only one who didn't like to link the two...,

These so called researchers are only 'experts' in cigarettes. They assume that vaping is no different from smoking. Very narrow minded, that bunch.... It's like you don't ask a engineer to cook chemicals. Their only knowledge is in that certain field. These researches don't even know what they're talking about

All these exploding batteries really scares me as i have a mech mod as well. So to prevent mine from blowing my head off, i have to prevent over charging, right?
And please do not output your discharge amperage above what your battery can handle. It's a good rule of thumb to hit a few amps below your batteries amp discharge limit. A good practice is to constantly use an Ohm's Law calculator.

If I'm not mistaken, the most common of cases of mods exploding are ones related to circuit shortages. I always remind myself... if it doesn't fire, it's most probably a shortage. The good thing about some mech mods is that they're super easy to disassemble, hence, easier to troubleshoot.

Also advise newbies like me to check what are the correct batteries to get.

My friend got a X-CUBE II and the same shop sold him SAMSUNG ICR18650-26F to use with it, knowing that he is using TFV4 Quad Coil (0.21Ω) at 55W ...
The coil with his setting is overdrawing the current (150% over).

LUCKILY, he found the X-CUBE II too complicated and sold it to me, thats when I discovered that it was the wrong type of batteries.

It is now still in the box ;p. Still waiting for my batteries (LG HD2) and charger to arrive.

First impression, I find it heavy (Compared to the M80 Plus). Unless the TC and the "Soft-Normal-Hard-Max" setting can make a big difference to my vaping experience. I think I am unlikely to bring it out.

The firing button/panel is a love or hate it thing ba. My friend like it, but I find it 'disconnected' or rather too much of a 'travel' before firing.

I found the TC and other features interesting (Phone App Control), and it was cheap enough to get for experiment. ;p

Just gotten a new X Cube II today, and boy it was great!

LG HD2 is highly recommended for this mod?
