Im going to dig into the specs on what i have when i get home. The pico i just ordered comes with the melo3 tank and the coils .3 and .5. wait....you use 20 watts to .4 ohms,im a little surprised! I thought you had to crank it up when you go to subohms. I cant wait to experiment again

When choosing a coil for a particular type of vape it's not all about low resistances and high power, especially in a regulated device.

Its a coolfire 18650,im pretty sure it would do those coils. When i get home im going to look them all up to be sure.

If it's the IV then it will fire it but not well. It only does 40w and has a 14.5 amp limit. You're gonna need to venture into the multiple battery mod arena for .3 coils. Probably should go multi for .5 as well, just due to battery life and such.

Here's an example, I'm running a dual coil RDA at .34 ohms at 54 watts, 4.3 volts per the mod's screen. My mod is a dual 18650 and I go through at least 2 sets of batteries from 6:30am to 8pm. Now that is with me vaping a lot or normal for me anyways, lol.

The pico comes with the melo3 mini and the coils i mentioned. I also ordered a Aspire triton tank.

I found that the .5 EC coils and the .5 coils for the Triton worked great in both of those tanks (interchangeable), but I bought the ECR head for both of them and built my own coils at about .8 to 1 for a better vape (for me) and longer battery life. (Plus I'm a cheap bast@$d)

I watched reviews and seemed those coils were pretty good and after finding out they worked in both tank ordered the triton,i think thats pretty great! Ive tried to build on the subtank mini and i can do it but it never was just right,so i gave up that for awhile now.

The Pico has decent battery life with a .5, but the Coolfire won't last long at all.
In those regulated mods I would go with the LG HG2 battery for longer battery life, but your 25Rs are more than capable of running those.

I run an HG2 in a Pico at .5 to .8 and get really good run times.

Lol.
You'll get longer run times, not a crap load but some.
If you have plenty of 25Rs and they are still in good shape, I'd say there's not much need to buy new ones.
If you need or want new batteries, then I'd suggest the HG2s for those mods and coils.

That's a great point about battery life. Not many really think about it but if say the coolfire (any mod being used) won't go above 14.5 amps (shuts off), one would be better off finding a higher mah battery with lower amp (say 20a 2500mah as to 30a 1500mah - example numbers off top of my head).

I agree.
I chose to recommend the best of both worlds, lol (IMHO). A 20 amp 3000mAh battery.
Plus, it can be used in the future for almost any setup they purchase.

battery voltage dived by ohms = amps, i should look at continuous amps is this idea correct?

You going in the right direction at wanting to calculate it, but it is a lot more complicated than that in a regulated mod and the amp draw isn't constant.

I began to type it all out, but because I can't type for crap I'll find a link, lol.

Those HG2s and 25Rs are good for most anything you will do. As long as they are authentic.
The 25R is probably the most counterfeited battery there is. Get them from a good site.
But if you are ever in doubt about if your battery is suitable for your build. Find out for sure.

Man @Breezy Dawn , if it were me I woulda just stolen one of my brother's setups.

Uh, I mean, good luck, hope you enjoy it I personally hate the Melo 3 it's like the worst combination of slightly subohm and no capacity. Not to be discouraging, and I bet you'll like the triton.

Before you spend ALL your money though you should ask your brother what he has, etc.
Might be simpler, potentially,.
