As stated in the post, I was using my eGo-t 900 on an aspire bdc, having a good time. Then all of the sudden the thing stops hitting, so I figured my battery is dead. I noticed that the button LED on the battery flashes 8-10 times when you press it down. When I hooked it up to the charger, the charger light went from green to red (turned red as soon as I screwed the battery on), and the batt. LED lights up blue and stays that way. Is this a dead battery, or is the battery itself having some problems? How long should I charge this thing before I resume using it?

Dual coils are really not ideal for ego type batts, I dunno why vendors don't say this more, batteries will run down very quickly and need to charge more often.

Do yourself a favor and get some nice single coil BCC coils and clearos that use them and you'll do a lot better. T3S, protank mini, etc.

If you love dual coils like BDC then get yourself a PV where you can change out single batteries

I am guessing the battery won't be usable until it is fully charged? So the Aspire I bought won't work well? If so, I will have to look into something single coiled.

Based on the behavior you are describing - the protection MOSFET has tripped - it's no longer a functional battery.

rick, racehorse - that of course was my first thought - dual coils - because of my experience with them with eGos but there's a point to where it becomes beating a dead horse, (or riding a hobby horse :) ....but I think we'll see more of that. With a single coil you can have even a 1.5ohm joye atty go to about 1.3Ω and you most likely will recover, but if esp. the 1.5Ω dual coils get gunked, I think because of the dual aspect, the ohms can drop even further and quicker. That said, as posted early on, I lost 3 Joye eGo-c upgrade batts from dual coil T3D's and as would be expected, I got the short circuit 3 flashes but the batt continued until the next short then died - that's the extra protection from short circuit. Most batts will die upon the first short. The first two losses were on a 1.5Ω dual coil but the last one was on a 2.0Ω dual coil.

Most eGo types will flash 3 times on a short but 6 if you hit the button twice :) trying to get it to work. End of charge is more of the 8-10 flashes of the led.

Also depending on the type Joye or Joye clones - the button flashes 4 times when connection is made with the charger and the light goes out and charger goes red. With the Vision batts - at least the ones I had, the button goes off for a few seconds when connected to the charger then comes on and stays on until the charge is complete, then it goes off. I think some of the early Kangers did that too but not sure.

The store replaced the charger and the batttery - Said it was probably a bad charging cable. I also picked up a Kanger Pro 2 Mini for $8.99, came with two coils. I REALLY love this tank. Nice clean flavor, good vape, and it is glass and metal.

The Protank 2 mini is single coil - you should be good. :thumb:
