Not sure if this is the correct place so if it needs to be moved then so be it..

I loaned my daughter (age 22) a battery , battery charger, atomizer, and carts until they could order one. I just got a phone call that the battery got stuck in the charger and when they tried ot get it out it fell apart. They said they got some of the pieces out with tweezers (yes OMG) luckily they did unplug it but still and there is still part of the battery in there.

They are suppost to bring the items to me in the next few days but has anyone had this happen to them before?

Most of the components listed are about a month and a half old (ordered 2-5-09) any help or ideas would be appreciated.

It is a penstyle RN4072 ordered from puresmoker..

I am reposting here to see if I can get any other info other than the posts I got from the general section where I originally posted it..

I did e-mail them after I posted this btw. Sadly atm I am pretty broke so if I can salvage any of this it would help..

Guys, after reading thousands of posts and reports about batteries--this one ranks as the all time number one classic. Sorry to hear this report. After taking many of Steve's batteries apart--I can tell you without hesitation, that someone forgot that the battery screwed in to the charger and tried to yank it out. There is no way that battery could get stuck in there any other way ---the treads had to be out of alignment. And they were in alignment to get the battery in there in the first place--so either Fido chewed it up or someone yanked on it. Sorry for this misfortune. What did they tell you happened? --Sun

Sorry, this is not true. I have 2 batteries for my 901 (ordered from litsigusa) that did the exact same thing. The problem is they glue they used to set the screw in piece failed, so when it was screwed into the charger it broke the glue and when it was unscrewed it left the threaded part inside. I got mine out of my charger by pressing the battery back in and pressing when I unscrewed it. It's not "pulling" that broke the batteries, but faulty glue.

Unfortunate, but agreed..

This happened to me with a brand new m402 battery. I can honestly say it was not due to my possible 'abuse' in any way. It had very minimal force against it.

When twisted to release from the charger, the battery threading/coupling literally twisted completely around inside the battery casing. When I attempted to further remove it, extremely carefully, the connection severed its wires and completely removed itself of the casing.

I ended up using it as a mod afterwards, due to that. Actually, I have pictures of it's autopsy. I will post a thread soon.. ;)

Well she is on her way here so I will have a better idea after that. She is fairly responsible in my opinion but then again I am mom and may be bias. I can tell when my children are lying by thier body language though so we will see.

She said she went to unscrew it and it crumbled as she was getting it out. I know that if it isnt screwed in properly from the beginning, then it could have not threaded properly.

I guess we shall see.. Will add more as I get more info..

Thanks for the replys thus far..

Ok.. I got the parts (seems they lost one small black connector thing on the circuitboard looking thing). I took pictures but now just have to figure out how to get them uploaded to the computer and then from the computer to the bard here.

Mind you this may take me a few as I AM NOT computer saavy... My husband tends to take care of this stuff and sadly today hes feeling under the weather. It does seem to me and I am in no way an expert that it may be due to faulty glue. I am just going by where it broke and how she explained it.

The white cover that goes over the actual battery was the first piece that came off. The other pieces seem to have come off during the process of actually trying to get them out of the charger.

Again I will post pics as soon as I figure out how lol...

Ok hopefully here are the pictures...

ok every time I try it says upload failed and pictures need resized.. If I could email or pm these to someone that knows what they are doing that would help otherwise it may be a few days before I can get my husband to help me since hes not feeling well.

Ok I now have them under the album section on this board if that helps any.. Still trying to post here on the actual forum.
