Battery Taste with aerotank

So yesterday I purchased an aerotank to replace my protank 2, and today I'm getting a taste in my mouth that I guess I could only describe as a metallic "battery taste". It's not really burnt, but it's nasty. My vamo v5 actually shut off after a couple vapes. I'm vaping at 8 watts with a 2ohm coil. Any ideas what could be the problem?

A short in the coil. But battery taste? Did you boil the drip tip and all the metal parts?

At the very least you should consider a soak in vodka or cleaning with dishwashing liquid before using.

Yeah I probably should've thought that through, maybe I was tasting China? But I swapped the head for a new one and it seems to be working for the moment

yea I actually had that happen a couple days ago.. i notice it specifically more with the mother milk im vaping.. i can tell right away when it doesnt taste right.. i switched the head and it tastes fine now.. so not sure if that was the issue.
