Standard lithium ion has a nominal voltage of 3.6v, but many say the 510 and ego are at 3.2v. This would mean they aren't lithium ion. The only chemistry I know of that has a nominal voltage of 3.2v is lifepo4, which is a good thing for us because it has a cycle life of 1000-2000 compared to li-ion's 600.

Thoughts?

It isn't the battery itself but the circuitry that is 'governed' to bring the underload voltage to the 3.1-3.2v range. I'm guessing it's to keep from burning out/and having to replace warranteed 510 atomizers, but for those that vape at true 3.7v, 510 attys do just fine.
