I checked on the ohms law calc and I think I need 60 amps at 228 so 2 of those batteries would work em I right ?Why do you want to max out the Predator? Both the tfv8 and 12 vape well under 200W. If you insist on running at 228W (which I would advise against) get some LG HB series 30A batteries. They are the only batteries that to my knowledge tested out at 30A.

Thank you so muchNo. Ohm`s Law is used for mechanical mods, and the Predator 228 is a regulated mod (I think). You therefore need the calculation described here:
Calculating battery current draw for a regulated mod | E-Cigarette Forum
Wattage/number of batteries/battery cutoff (usually 3.2V)/0.9 (assuming 90% efficiency) = amps per battery
228 W/ 2 batteries/ 3.2 V/ 0.9 = 39.6 amps per battery
As there's no such beastie, it isn't going to happen.
To figure out the safe wattage for the highest rated batteries you can get, turn the equation around:
amps per battery * # of batteries * 3.2 V * 0.9 = maximum safe wattage
30 * 2 * 3.2 * 0.9 = 173 W
or, if you're using 20 A batteries:
20 * 2 * 3.2 * 0.9 = 115 W
Thank you so much
Yeah i just started sub ohm vaping and it's harsh at 80 watts what sub ohm tank do you recommend For my pred 228 I would still like the option to go to 175 watts but will be vaping at 100-120 I want a decent tank for the airflowJust know that there is absolutely no reason to "max" any mod out... a good vape is not about wattage, it is about the built/coil that you use.
You can get a great vape at under 50W.

one last question so when I fire up my mod and crank it to 80 watts it says 4.90 volts but my batteries only say 3.7 volts and I was reading that parallel mods only double the amps and not the volts or something like that I'm confused manI only use RTAs (for almost a year if not more)... so for cartridge tanks, I couldn't really say.
I have multiple mods that go over 120, 160, 200 (and I do have a couple of Predators), and they are all never set more than 45-50W. For my RDA, if I want to go full cloud chaser, I'll then it up to 70-80W, but that's just for fogging my house up.
My coils, SS316L, from 03 to 0.8ohm, 26 or 28 gauge, dual or single coils... and they pump out quite a lot of vapor.
Just know that more vapor does not equal more flavour, there's a lot of factors that goes into it, and I'm starting to hate the whole SMOK beast fad as it has made a lot of people think that one needs to be a wannabee cloud chaser to be a "proper" vaper.
The Predator connects the two batteries in series so the volts are doubled as a result, but not the amps. The 4.90 volts are what the board outputs in order to achieve those 80 watts.one last question so when I fire up my mod and crank it to 80 watts it says 4.90 volts but my batteries only say 3.7 volts and I was reading that parallel mods only double the amps and not the volts or something like that I'm confused man
So what's the maximum wattage I can vape at with 20 amps ?The Predator connects the two batteries in series so the volts are doubled as a result, but not the amps. The 4.90 volts are what the board outputs in order to achieve those 80 watts.
P = V²/R
Keep it below 25a to be safeSo what's the maximum wattage I can vape at with 20 amps ?
25A, not 25WBelow 25 watts ?
so I have a predator 228 and I'm running it at 80 watts I'm using 20 amp battery's 2 obv , so when I'm at 80 watts it says 4.9 volts on my mod but my batteries say 3.7v em I being unsafe ? Or does the amp and voltage double since it's 2 batteries ? If it does what's the highest wattage and lowest ohm resistance I can vape with 2 20 amps and with 2 30 amps , also what are parallel and series mods or battery's I'm confused I'm really thinking about going back to cigarettes this is to much for me
