So I'm fixing to upgrade tanks and I'm an extreme budget vaper... whatever I choose has to last me.

Right now, I hear that some of the best tanks around now are the Artics, the Crowns, the Herakles, nd the Smoks... and probably many more.

First off, with the Artic tank, I tried the Tornado I think it was, at a local shop, and the guy had it at 100w's, triple coils.

Though it gave me no spitback or moisture at all (such a godsend compared to my Subtank Nano) HOWEVER at 100w's and triple coils, I honestly was not impressed with the vapor - my Subtank Nano literally puts out more at 0.4ohms abd 40w's. Flavor was crisp and nice though. I'm unsure how well the maxVG juices will wick in the little holes.

What I was a little concerned about is that the coils were tiny, Nautilus size, and I'm concerned how long those tiny coils hold up at such power... plus, if you use 3, isn't that half your pack right there?

Onto the Crown. I simply hear good things, dunno any special traits of this tank.

The TFV4? Oh boy. With the original, I hear of melting o-rings, leaking galore, and burnt coils. The mini seems to fix all this, but geez at having to settle with a smaller tank size. Plus, again, it's little ol coils cramped inside big chambers, and I'm a little concerned how they'll hold up over time. Plus, I don't know if the vapor is really any better than the Arctic. Plus, the way the juice flows into the coils... little slots and then having to slip through more metal... I'm not sure how my 80VG-MAXVG juices will wick.

Finally, the Herakles... I saw Mike Vapes vaping on one of these in a review, and the vapor looked ungodly. The most vapor I've ever seen. However, from what I see, the wicking holes are small and I know from experience that it can really affect the wicking. Again, I do maxVG and I chain vape. The new Kanger coils allow me to chain vape back to back even at 40 watts because the holes are so gigantic, but the downside is there's so much spitback that it's like drinking juice.

So what do you guys think? Money not an issue (I'll find anything cheap somewhere) what truly is the best tank in the current Sub field. I really am looking for gigantic clouds, long coil life, not even a speck of moisture or spitback in my mouth EVER, and no leaking, that's not professional. Choices choices.

I love my Crowns. I am not into these 3, 4, 6 coil cloud chasing attys. I want a reliable setup no leaking, Top fill, durable tank with coils that don't cost a ton of money & good flavor. The Crown for me was the right choice
for a cheaper tank I also like the tobeco super tank & with the tobeco I can run my cCell Vaporesso coils

I just ordered a Crown, one 4-pack of coils, and the RBA - $40 plus shipping. I'm going to give it a go - I've heard so much good about these, I thought it was worth a shot to try.
That is a good deal as they may not be for everyone they have treated me very well & are my go to tanks

'Xactly! Each of us has different tastes, which is why I have a hard time recommending to others because what *I* like, you might hate....

For a "minimal" cost, I don't mind trying what others recommend. I have a few things with which I'm not enamored, but, they're in the stash as a last-ditch piece of equipment, if all else fails.

I don't have a huge variety of tanks because when I find something I like, I grab multiples. It just works for me! I want the ability to rebuild, again, if all else fails - I still have something that will work.

well in my crown and TFV4 my coils easily last 3 weeks to a month or more. and i mix my own juice, normally around 80-20 VG-pg. Never had an issue wicking or anything. I love my crown the best, a;though I recently got the Indulgence Mutation MX tank... love it too and i can easily build my own coils so it costs even less to run.

Get something that has both pre built coils and a rebuild-able base. I went with the LEMO2 for 35.00 dollars, no pre built coils available, because I knew I wanted to build my own coils for a fraction of the cost that a pre built coil would run me. Building should you eventually go that route also gives you more options than the standard .5 and .2 ohm choices.

Pretty much what everyone else has said :)

Well one thing I want to add is that I get my juice from Black Axis, where it's usually $15 for 120ml (the owner is really a revolutionary in terms of juice prices and the quality is fantastic) so honestly that's even cheaper than DIY in all reality, and ECIG.COM (no dash) sells most packs of coils for $11 out of Texas, great website, I trust them. Not cheaper than rebuilding but it's realistic; overall pre-build style *may* cost me $1 per day?

And that's just with Subtank Nano coils that last 4 days, if these new tanks' coils last weeks that's down to maybe 25 cents a day? I still find ways to extreme budget.

And mainly it's because I'm NO good at building coils and I've never been able to get the amount of cotton down pat. There's great flavor with it, but really, I have to have things pretty easy. I've always considered trying it out if one if my tanks had an RBA option but first and foremost, I gotta have some easy coil options.

Back to the tanks though, I still am hearing so many things. The TFV4, you hear of o-rings melting, leaking, the whole 9 yards, it's like a plague. I still haven't heard bad about the Crowns, but I don't hear a *lot* of standout praise either. The Artics, same. And the Herakles, I hear a lot of praise but a lot of leaking stories.

When it comes to the vape, it's anyone's guess, but I have heard small stories if the TFV4 and Herakles spitting too, and that is REALLY what I'm sensitive to and want to avoid; same with leaking, who wants that. I think its really down to which tank absolutely does not spit or leak in the least.

+1 for the Aromamizer. I rebuild, so I haven't tried the OCC coils, but I heard they are fantastic. One of the great things about Aromamizer tanks is, their parts are interchangeable. If you wish to upgrade your tank, no need to buy a "v2", simply get parts( deck, top cap, etc.)
Sorry but, pre-built coils will NEVER be as cheap as building your own. But if you insist, another good tank option is the Herakles Plus. Same great vapor production that you mentioned, but better flavor thanks to the bigger wicking slots and new airflow system.

The only reasons, that I've come across, for the Herakles spitting are a)flooding or b)the wattage was too low. Both human error. The coils themsevles are well made.

There is no "best" tank for everyone.

ABSOLUTELY!

the first thing the OP needs to decide is he a cloud chaser or a flavor chaser.

The second thing he should decide is the voltage he prefers

After providing information above we can recommend tanks, RBAs or RTAs that would match his vaping style .

Me im a flavor chaser, and I vape at 17.5 watts and below so

The Project Sub-Ohm Silverplay Nano.. And UD'S Goblin Mini are perfect for me.

Absolutely. On my RTA I can build a coil for about two cents, and it will last 2-3 months if I carefully remove a fouled wick. Using organic cotton balls my coil and re wicking costs about 12-15 cents for up to three months of Vaping on one of my RTAs.
