yes flat-top's.

Depends. Does your particular mod require flat tops? If not, you could go either way.

I happen to believe button top batteries are a little safer to use, in particular in a mechanical mod. Button tops generally have vent holes in the "button", which theoretically would allow hot gas to vent more easily should the battery go into thermal runaway. (That's better than actually blowing its top off -- that's an explosion.) I've yet to see a flat top battery have vent holes.

vtc5 > vtc4 > samsung inr 25r > lg he2, i would get 4-6 batteries if you using sigelei 150w... i chain vape... 2 batteries last me less than half a day... dunno how people use it for three days... lol

flat tops > button tops unless your mod can fit button tops

vp2 > vp4, get two vp2 or 1 vp4

Yep ditto on the battery life - I get half a day each out of a pair of VTC4's and a pair of Samsung 25R's. That's a mix of regular vaping and chain vaping at around 50 watts. The Samsung's give a tiny bit of extra life, but not much considering the situation.

Are there any other batteries around with higher capacity that would work here?

To my knowledge, 2500 mAh is the highest capacity of any high drain IMR battery. Any battery with more mAh is likely an ICR chemistry battery and not fit for personal vaporizer use (especially sub ohm).

My sony, mnke, and MXJOs that are flat top batteries have vent holes...I'm confused...

My appologies.

I do now recall that my old Sony's had vent holes. I've never used MNKE or MXJO's. The only flat top batteries I now have is the Samsung25R and from casual look it appears they have no vent holes, but getting out my magnifier they do indeed appear to have vent holes. Excuse these tired old eyes.
