Ok, so I'm going nuts because when I sold off one of my older mods, my 10440's went with it... and my new mod arrived and requires that battery.

So I order from DealExtreme and the wait begins.

Then I thought... I'll hit the batteries Plus store in my area... yeah!

Crap. NO Li-Ion batts at all. Only NiMHD and Nicad along with regular AAA batteries.

Is there a reason we can't use NiMHD or other types of rechargeables???

And a separate question... why wouldn't I use a standard AAA rechargeable, or even a disposable AAA battery?

What am I missing on these two points?

Thats the only reason I know of. We would need alot more cells to get the voltage. Other than that, no reasons I can think of. I made a box mod that holds 3 aa's from the dollar store, It vaped 4.5v!!!! Its awesome, but batts just dont last very long. LI IOn lasts alot longer nad of course has the higher voltage/maH

Can anyone suggest a brand and mAH rating for AAA NiMH batteries? I have a flashlight mod which takes 3 AAA's that I have been using for the past few days with the NiMH's that I had on hand but I need some spares.

The brand I am using is "Ultralast" - but they do not have an mAH rating on them anywhere. I have some other generic NiMH's that are rated at 650mAH which don't work very well. From what I have found, the highest rated AAA's is 1000mAH. Any suggestions for a brand to look for would be appreciated.

Oh, and I do realize there may be some advantages to going Li-On but I already hadthe NiMH charger and use AAA's in a lot of other things so it's cheaper for me to go this route initially.
