Bauway 510 Cartos...

Anybody know anything about these?

I took the soft cap off one and saw no coil....they do not look like typical KR8 cartos...

Why dont I see a coil? Are they designed differently?

They have vertical coils. I don't care for the Bauway brand. The best 510's I've found are Boge brand or Ikenvape.com's. Boge are what I use the most due to Ikenvape being out of stock most of the time but if you can get Isaac's, it's worth the wait.

I did and it worked! Thank you Please forgive my ignorance. I can use all the help I can get and its very, very, much appreciated. A question.....Am I to understand that these are a dual coil or horizontal set up? If so, I really like them. I have had -NO- problems with them at all. I am still on the first one I set up since I received them a week ago?? They have functioned impressively from the first vape. I had never heard of them till received them in a kit I purchased. I had been using Boge's 2.5s and was very satisfied with them, and have been keeping them on hand for use with my Ego. Sorry to drag this out but your help is much covetted. Thank you Katya. so are they vertical coils...I cant see any coil or wire when I pop the top off....that's why I posted....was curious as to what kind of carto they were..

Unless they changed their design, they should have a single, vertical coil. Sometimes the top of the coil is buried in the filler and thus hard to detect. Anyway, the ones I tested were verticals. The only way to know for sure is to take them apart when you're done with them...

As I said in the thread, some worked great, others burned on contact and with no provocation. But when they worked, they were nice. Looks like they may have improved since... Good to know. Thanks!

Well this ones been going for a week wet...not gonna take it apart and dont really see a reason too...

FYI all of the cartos I have owned till now were verticals...

thats why I am so curious about these....

They have no coil that can be detected from looking at them from the open top. The tube is COMPLETELY clear with batting around it...No wires anywhere to be seen. If there was ANY wires visible I would draw my own conclusions. But as it were there are no wires visible anywere. I can post a pic of the open top if that would be helpful.

That's odd. Usually you can spot the wire, if it is vertical. I don't have any left but I'm pretty sure mine had standard vertical coil. If you really need to know, ask Hoogie from Madvapes. He'll tell you.

Wait till you're done with it and then take it apart.

hey there Katya. I posted over there as well.. I can post a pic of the top....I cant figure these things out... You may be right I may just have to tear one apart to see where the coils are...cause they sure arent visible from the top...

just looks like a bunch of batting spooled around a tube....no wires anywhere...

when I first saw it I thought it was defective LOL

but it vapes up a mad storm LOL

I bought the "ego Carto Kit with Carrying Case". In the list of whats included it shows "5 Bauway Cartomizers (2.5 ohms)" Perhaps they are some other brand? Like mabey they were out of the Bauways and substituted a different brand. ??

No biggie, I just like them and am going to buy more of them. Btw...love your avatar, its very pretty.

It is odd that he would put Bauway cartos in a SmokTech kit, but if they are Bauway and you like them, he sells them separately.

Hey Girl!

The one you chose is beautiful and very classic.

The first carto finally gave up the ghost. Actually I helped it along, although it would have still been going if I hadnt accidently stuck my toothpick in to far when removing the rubber cap! LOL I inadvertantly removed the insulation ring in the mid top part of the batting. I still couldn't see any wiring of anykind, anywhere. I was going to take a pic and post it but my camera would not focus close enought for a real clear close up photo.

Anyhoo, I appreciate your input on my little quest. I value it very much. Thanks for helping me I think I will send a messege or email to madvapes proper and see if they can tell me what I have. Although...I just loaded up a 3rd carto and it gave me a BAD burnt taste after the 3rd perfect draw....OH well...Cartos are strange beasts.

Yeah, I got a batch of them - 510s from MadVapes - they SUCK.
Longest one lasted me for 1 1/2 days. That's the ones that actually did work at all. Cleaning them is useless.
I'm sorry I ever got the 5 boxes of cartos - Bauway is definitely NOT on my list of cartos to purchase.

I too purchased these from madvapes... 2 boxes worth..... Wont work on my provape without using two adapters... shorty 510 t0 801, coupled to a janty 801 to 510 adapter.... will not hold the specified amount of liquid, tho the first one I tried is still new.... the site states that it will not reach full capacity till several refills..... Refilled it three times already, and still the same as a regular carto.... I welcomed the thought of more capacity = less refilling, but will be sticking with the Boge... no problems with them... so far.....
