Bay City Vapor founder James Livingston talks about his company, as well as the upcoming XXIX and SurfRider mods in this Vapetoberfest 2013 interview. These upcoming mechanical mods feature an elegantly understated style and a unique pinless design. The copper XXIX is particularly beautiful. Livingston also discusses a future product that's especially interesting for vapers looking for a high-end 26650 mech.

Got on the list for the SS and brass surf rider- James is very proud of the product and he was very eager to share details when I spoke to him about the mods. They are beautiful and very minimalistic- especially with the "no pin" top cap and low-key logos.
They recently did some VD testing and they all performed very well- pics on the FB page.
Good interview, super nice guy, great looking mods!

Damn I was hoping this was gonna stay on the down low haha. The XXIX might just be the perfect mod, and by eliminating the top pin and having the Atty go directly to the battery is ingenious. Finally someone has designed something that addresses a lot of the wants and needs of vapors. You'll notice the threads are designed to allow integration of other mods such as the GP Paps bottom switch. Also you'll notice that he chooses a single tube design to reduce the number of voltage losses at tube threads. If you choose to use the top cap it is actually reversible and sits below the tube giving you a flush look. Pretty slick and he's charging a reasonable price for tangible improvements over other mods on the market.

James is indeeed a super-nice guy making very cool mods. I'm rooting for him to succeed.

I did notice that and am looking forward to some mixing and matching. The prices James was discussing were totally reasonable, especially for a made-in-the-USA product with unique features and great looks. I hope everything goes smoothly for Bay City Vapor!
