Managed to do something incredibly stupid yesterday, knocked my BB into a bowl that contained a roasting tin and some nasty greasy water
Took it out and it was caked in horrible grease, no option but to rinse the entire unit under hot water and use the soft side of a scrubby pad with washing up liquid to remove said grease, disasembled the entire unit (ditching the cart and battery in the bin), dropped the atty in some boiling water and proceeded to shake water from BB (some had got in through the button housing I assume).
After drying as best as I could I left in a warm airing cupboard over night and have just loaded a new cell in it and re-aplied anti-locking gunk...
She fired up first time, no ill effects
(even though the unit is obviously owned by a clumsy .....).
Learned three things from this...
1: I am an idiot and should be more careful
2: Always have a back up device (VP Spade in my case)
3: The BB is hardcore and can survive a dunking in water!
