China..Runyan is the original maker of the electronic cigarette. Another known term is e-cig. Yes, it will help you to quit smoking. I smoked 4 packs a day and it helped me.

It works by heating eliquid up into a vapor which is then inhaled. The vapor contains nicotine.

Yes an electronic cigarette will help your father as long as he wants to quit smoking. Hopefully, he does. He may not stop completely but he will not smoke as much as he does now. As for which one is better, the Joye eGo is very good and one of the most popular models. The links I provided you is the easiest way to switch to what is referred to as vaping.
