Be aware of eBay mods

Ok so I bought a blackcopper nemesis from eBay and I decided I didn't like the black anymore so I took some sandpaper and scratched all the black coating off and at first it was copper then I kept sanding it down and this is what I got a shiny brass with a little bit of copper

It's not a total loss. You can shine up the finish and have some fun with a patina process. Not too surprising as copper is more expensive than brass.

Not so much eBay though. Always know what you're buying and maybe check out the clone maker before buying. Unless I recognize packaging and/or ask the question in advance, I won't buy a device without knowing who made it.
