Any progress on putting out all those fires out west? The entire eastern half of the US, up to the bottom of NY, is completely covered in clouds... gotta be from all those fires.

I absolutely loathe and despise cloudy weather and rain. :grr: It's making me so depressed, I'm thinking about going back up on my WTA, nevermind how long it's taken me to get down to 2%.

Days getting shorter.

Not a chance with my voice.

Fit it into a dry van and I'll talk to the boss.

Getting remarkably shorter. I can't sing at all, sound like a frog being strangled. I sing along in a whisper. Thank you, but we couldn't afford it.

I got sick of the gray, wet weather and moved from Oregon to Calif. Well, that and I got a job down here. Endless flat gray drives me nuts too. Have learned a new respect for wet weather though.

They have a pretty good handle on those two really destructive fires. Thousands are homeless and I think six dead. These were avoidable fires. They were human caused. The largest, on down south, was a lightening strike. At least they had a little warning to get pets, papers, photographs, etc. out. I feel so bad for them all. They did save the Sequoias (up to 3,000 years old) but they had time to prepare for it.

Yeah, not really much to be done about the lightening-strikes; as I keep trying to inform my cat, humans really don't control the weather. :D She looks at me with such reproach, since she hasn't been outdoors since about Wed or Thurs. I assure her daily that rain is not MY choice either, but nothing I can do about it. :(

But those idiots who start fires, in that kind of dry environment, really need to have 24/7 keepers, for their own protection, if they're that stupid and/or careless. They definitely need to be evicted from the dry environment.

Good to know that progress is being made though; I can't even imagine what a fortune homeowners' insurance must cost, in a place like that where fire is a perennial threat. As little as I care for rain and endless clouds, I couldn't live in a place so dry that the slightest spark could start a million-acre conflagration, I'd be going out of my mind with anxiety every minute of the day.

Our old dog used to looks so depressed if we opened the front door and it was raining. Then he'd hustle to the back door expecting more favorable results. It never occurred to him to blame us. The cat on the other hand, held an extended personal grudge against us every time the weather disagreed with her.

70% of the people that live in California should move to New York, where they'd be much happier. Places like Phoenix and LA, to name a few, were built in deserts. Who thought that was a good idea? You live with the fact that you may lose everything. Natural disasters happen. It's just that when it down to the stupidity or negligence of people, it ticks me off. Right now there are six deer and a couple of fawns snoozing under the window. Worth it! :)

Beck, will you stop for the night and deliver tomorrow morning? DO NOT forget to watch the lunar eclipse tonight.

ROFL!!! That reminds me so much of our kitty; we'll let her into the garage, so she can see for herself that the outer door is not up the customary 6" for her to scoot under; she'll come back, race around the living room, then beg to go back into the garage... as if NOW, the door might be open!

I think you're right, those liberal fools in CA would positively flourish in NY! Birds of a feather! Totally agree about the desert too -- they're carrying on as if the long drought in S. Cal is a personal affront -- HERE'S A CLUE, S. CALIFORNIANS -- YOU LIVE IN A DESERT! GET OVER IT! Yet still the rich idiots MUST have their green grass and swimming pools, nevermind if 3/4 of the crops and cows die!

I'm so peeved that I won't be able to see that, words don't even come close to expressing it. I've been looking forward all month, and now THIS crap overhead! :-x :-x :-x

It's pretty cloudy here now too. Not a drop of rain but flat gray nothingness up there.

I'm going to go cry now.

Have a good evening Beck, take care.

It was cloudy here all day too. I HATE that. We're gonna watch Family Guy at 9, and I'm hoping it won't start raining in the meantime, so we can go out for a walk when it goes off -- missed my walk Friday AND Saturday, thanks to the :censored: rain. :-x I'm working so hard to try and improve my breathing, really push my aerobic ability, and this :censored: weather causes me to lose 2 days. :-x

The clouds have started to lift, we're seeing the tail end of it. Better something than nothing.

I have to walk to because of a blockage in my leg artery. Can't afford to fix it right now but if I want to be able to walk, have to keep moving. If the weather is really miserable, I walk up and down the hill to everything moving quickly. Ouch. I sympathize. Hope you got to see some of the eclipse.

Not even a glimmer. :( Solid clouds overhead. But I did get to go out for a short walk; didn't push it too hard, since I haven't done the walk since Wednesday; it started raining Thursday night during dinner so I missed Thurs, Fri, and Sat. And the rain will be back tomorrow. :-x
