Been at zero-nic for 1.5 months.. Thinking of re-introducing some 3mg

Maybe it was just an illusion & I'll end up hating it now that I've been away from it for a while, but seems like I was happiest at 3mg..

And it might just be part-time 3mg, at least at the start.. There are just times during the day where I need something more out of my vape, and zero-nic is lacking in something -- obviously that something is nic!

I sort of hate to do it.. but at this point, after 1.5 months & still missing it, maybe it's time.. Just been feeling too sluggish without it...

And I know this happens to some people, for whatever reason.. Zero-nic ain't for everybody!

Thoughts? Experiences?

If you're down to 0-3mg, I'd say you don't need it anymore and maybe that you should quit vaping so that you're not tempted by the nicotine.

My adv is 12mg and I drip 6mg at home, don't plan on going lower ever.

Quit vaping? Now? No way.. I'm just getting warmed up! :D

In fact, just bought ProVari #2 & #3 in the past few weeks, and started DIY about a month ago..

I like vaping too much...

Not to mention that nicotine isn't everything.. It's also the flavors, the hand-to-mouth action, the inhale/exhale, the clouds, the social aspect, the hobby aspect, etc.

I just think full-time zero-nic isn't for me at this time.. I tried it for a while, and realized I would probably really like that extra nic-kick from time to time...

I've been doing mostly zero-nic since April, but there are times I need a little nic kick to lift a stubborn cloud of depression. 4mg will do the job when I need it. Haven't tried lower yet, but 4mg every now and then ain't bad at all...IMHO. :)

I do not agree with the idea to "quit vaping"...unless that's what YOU want to do. I don't vape as much as I used to, because I don't 'need' it anymore, but I definitely enjoy vaping.

DIY makes it cheap, too! ;)

What do you think is allowing me to afford those extra ProVarii? :D

Just spending those calculated savings ahead of time.. ;)

Yeah, on my way to zero, I was also doing sub-3mg, like at 2, 1 and even 0.5mg (by mixing pre-made juice) as I wound down my nic-juice inventory.. Believe it or not, I was actually still feeling it at that lowest level -- but not in a good way.. It was like this cruel tease...

I'm too sluggish mentally & physically without it.. So thanks for your feedback.. Seems like just a few minutes at 3mg here & there throughout the day should pick me up & get me going on the right track again...

My body can't really tell the difference between 0 and 3mg. That may just be me. I can feel a big difference if i go to 12mg which kinda makes me lightheaded now.

I dropped my nic level so slowly over a period of 2 whole years, so I doubt my body even requires it although if you feel some depression you might want to try 3 and then maybe even 6.

See what happens, if your mood lifts. There's no point vaping zero if you end up mildly depressed or sluggish.....maybe your body is not ready for zero and might never be. :)

Yeah, I'm not even sure it's a mild depression thing.. It might be part of it, like in terms of motivation or whatever..

But it's like my brain is working too slowly, intellectually..

Everything seems like it's all slowed down, and things aren't happening as quickly as they used to up there.. Maybe I'm just getting too old?

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I've been vaping full-time for about 11 months now.. I was smoking a lot longer than that.. I'm wondering if I pushed it too far too quickly...

All you can do is try it and see. You can go back to zero nic anytime you want to. I fond I vape zero in the mornings and sometimes switch for a while in the afternoon and then again after dinner. But I also sometimes vape 2 mg for a couple of days and then zero for a few days.

There are no rules to this, whatever works for you is good :)

I started vaping nearly 18 months ago. Dropped to 0mg quickly because of a health scare. Went on a frenzied search for satisfying juice. Was feeling sluggish and not real sharp. Made a change in meds, went up to 3mg, and discovered that I have many satisfying juices. Recently culled out the worst, and added a few new ones.

I think that many are discovering this. 3mg may not technically be much better than 0mg, but it satisfies, so who cares?

Bingo, Rickb! There have been studies done on nicotine which do show some advantages by using it. Believe you can find them on the CASAA web site. My own personal experience is that since vaping only (6-9 mg) my mood is lighter/happier more "consistently" than ever before. Hubby and children like me this way!

dont self medicate would be my opinion but i would be a hypocrite for saying it

And what exactly should be wrong with self-medicating, may I ask?
It is wrong to drink chamomile tea for an upset stomach? Instead of taking pharma-made medicine?
Is it wrong to inhale steam with chamomile for bronchitis? Instead of inhaling pharma-made stuff?
Is it wrong to fight an oncoming cold with hot ginger water with honey? Instead of going to the doctor for every little ouchie and /or spending good money on cold medicine? Which is not even as effective as the ginger water and honey cure?

Why should it be wrong to give your body what does it good - without running to the doctor for every little thing that you can just as well take care of yourself?

I strongly disagree.
And so would my grandmother - who had a natural cure for just about anything.

Oh and as to the benefits of consuming nicotine: well, I would not want to take any of the pharma-made stuff to take care of the same.. uhm... conditions. I am not into spending lots of money for the pleasure of suffering potential huge side effects. Thank you but no thank you.

i am talking about self medicating a chronic emotional dysfunction due to some trauma of the past, not some inconsequential stomach virus or you ate too much, if nicotine healed such things you wouldn't be using it habitually. to top it off you also failed to understand what i said and just assumed that i was against the use of nicotine.
