Beginner resistance wire recommendations

I just purchased my first rba, an IGO W and an eleaf istick to give it a little more wattage than my mvp. I'm looking for a good beginners resistance wire to buy and I have no idea where to start because most of my research just confused me, any help would be appreciated.

Seeing as you need to keep it over 1 Ohm for the iStick, and the Igo-W is dual coil, I think I'd go for 29 or 30 gauge kanthal.

Built one of these for my istick last week, went with 30 gauge kanthal and it came out to 1.2 ohm (dual coil build)

I learned to build coils with 24 but it's kinda big. Makes for a big coil unless you are sub-ohming. I'm finally almost out (I hate tossing away something that works) and in my order this week I am getting some 28. ...If that helps.

my vote is for 28 gauge. its versatile. if you decide you want to build lower you can always twist it or run parallels with no real issues as far as resistance goes.

I'd recommend getting a role of 28 and 30 gauge, it's cheap enough and both will work, then you can find out which you prefer. The Istick is a little more accurate if you keep the resistance up and 30ga would be easier for that but 28 is a little thicker and easier to work with imo. If you just want to stick with one gauge I think 30 would be a better match for the Istick.

I might be wrong here... Kinda in same perdicament. But, IMO, based on playing with Steam engine. Using 1ohm or higher and 20 watts or less as starting point. 29 or 30 would be better for single coils, both of theses can bee used for coils covering the Isticks limitations. 28 is great IF you are building between .7 and 1.5 ohms, beyond that it is just really slow to fire or too many/few wraps.
