Hey guys, I'm sure you get a lot of posts like this but I'm really wondering why I'm having some many complications with building coils. An obvious reason is that I haven't built enough coils (I built about ~5 both (dual + single) My first couple coils I made it took about around 5-7 seconds for them to glow. Today I attempted building a nano dragon build which took up 3 seconds to glow, and it did produce vapor. I should mention that I am using the Hades mod along with the matching Hades RDA (both of them clones, but the quality on the RDA is decent. While I get sufficient vapor production, I'm still a little unimpressed as I'm not getting enough vapor production (I've been watching Rip Tripper's tutorials, and he seems to get a much more significant amount of vapor, while I don't get nearly as much). I'm 99.9% sure it's just my skills with building coils, as the pre-wrapped coils I tried from my local B&M makes insane clouds of vapor. Now, I know Rip is using a regulated high wattage device, but I know I can get much better results than what I've been getting.
I've learned that straightness of the leads is a crucial aspect of building. I guess I'm looking for techniques important to get an instant gratification of building proper coils, but I do understand that (and people weren't lying) that building coils take some time to learn. Yesterday I went to the local shop and the dude there built a 24 ga parallel build. Decent vapor production and flavor, but I believe that I got much better results with the machine made pre-wrapped coils installed. I decided to uninstall it and build a Macro and Nano Dragon build. So, it could simply be my skill experience, or that I'm just expecting more out of my setup? It'd be a shame if it turned out the Hades couldn't perform the way I want. I've had this set-up for about 3 weeks.
For the Micro coil builds I've been using 28 ga Kanthal and for the Macro builds I'm using 24 ga. i'm using an Efest 26650 3500 mAh high drain battery.
So, anyone here experience the same issues I had when starting out with mech mods/rdas? I'd love some assurance that it's purely my coil-building experience, and nothing serious wrong with my set-up.
Sorry for the huge wall of text, but if anyone could help me out with techniques or ideas, it'd be appreciated!
