I have been vaping for years and am not a newbie when it comes to coil building or wicking. Recently I bought a Bellus clone from fasttech because I had read generally excellent reports on the RTA. A large number of people had however reported serious leaking problems when top-filling - I'm posting my results in the hope that a solution may be found.

Despite having tried a number of builds, wicking arrangements and adjustment of the position of the AFC ring, I have found it *impossible* to top-fill this tank without dumping all its contents over my 100W istick. When I bottom-fill it performs *perfectly* and remains as dry as a nun. The problem seems to be that as soon as the top lid/drip tip is unscrewed, the vacuum in the tank is destroyed and the liquid goes everywhere. I emphasise that this starts to happen *before* the lid is screwed down, (which of course slightly pressurises the contents of the tank). Wicking density/tail arrangements and position of the AFC ring make *no* noticeable difference - the issue is repeatable every time the lid is removed. For those suffering this problem, I suggest bottom filling and vaping for a while. This should prove that the RTA is watertight and performs properly; then with the tank still filled/partially filled, unscrew the top - if everything floods, it points to the fact that there is something untoward going on with the vacuum arrangements.

Now admittedly mine is a clone - perhaps there are differences in tolerances between it and a genuine Youde device (although I am impressed with the quality of construction/threading and integrity of the o-ring seals). I'd welcome some fresh eyes on this issue, which is driving me nuts (and costing me considerable wastage of eliquid).
