USA. State: Inebriated.
Samsung 25r.

Good.

Sony vtc4.

Good.

Not so good. Likely a re-wrapped LG HE2 or similar rewrapped cell, as this is a Chinese company that sorta popped up outta nowhere. You're better off going with a more reputable battery. The LG HE4 has also tested very well. I have two pairs and they've been holding up very well, as well as some LG HE2's.

Also the reason I linked to Illumn is because I only recommend buying your batteries from a certified vendor, someone who you know is going to be selling authentic batteries. Illumn is good, and so is RTDVapor. eBay and Amazon are eh.

There are lots of good suitable batteries available..Imren, Samsung, MXJO, Sony, LG, Efest, AW, Vamped, PVTSO, Lavacell, MNKE...though most of them are simply rewrapped batteries of one of about 4 battery makers. Just don't believe the mah or the amperage listed on the battery...most of the time the amperage listed on the battery is for pulse amperage and not continuous amperage. Also beware that there are 'fakes' of the most popular batteries that say they are one thing but really aren't (Sony and LG are the most copied). Also know that most of the rewrapped batteries, even when the company name on them is trusted, are often what is referred to as 'lesser bin' batteries, in other words, batteries that the major manufacturer didn't see fit to put their own name on for one reason or another, but are still suitable for most purposes, including all but the most strenuous use of them in a vaping mod. Stick with the most reputable vendors, the ones who have been in business for several years, and your local retailer who buys from such vendors of batteries, and you should be fine.

Hi vape Fam, my friend is about to order new batteries for his demetri and I wanted to know which are the best to get. A lot of batteries seem to have good reps like Samsung 25r. Sony vtc4. MXJO

Samsung 25R are rated for 20 amps maximum discharge. VTC4 are rated for 30A. MXJO is not a manufacturer, they are a company that re-wraps batteries and we really don't know what their specifications are because they can change the battery they're wrapping any time they feel like it. Because of that I stick to manufacturer brands.

A big issue when buying batteries is using a known good supplier that won't sell you counterfeits. There are a lot of counterfeit batteries out there. FWIW, I trust these suppliers:

Illumination Supply
RTD Vapor
Lighthound
Orbtronic
Battery Junction

There are certainly more good battery suppliers out there, but these I would buy from again without worrying about counterfeits.

would 6000mAh battery work with a mod ?

It's not safe. There is no 6,000 mAh battery on the market today that's safe to vape. At best it's a marketing ploy in an attempt to sell batts to people who don't know much about them. At worst it's a dangerous battery that could explode in use.

+1

Mxjo, vamped efest, awt, and other "vaping" cells are just too shady on their ratings to fully trust
