The overlooked Tenergy2600 Li-Ion seems to be a better (and much cheaper) choice than the AW2600. Although subtle, the Tenergy performs better and it's true mAh rating is also better than the AW.

Nice charts Willy. Who has the best price on the Tenergy battery? If it is an overlooked gem I'd like to know more about it.

Thanks, JJ

Thats a good find WillyB. Do you know if that is a protected battery or unprotected used in the test? I'll have to pick one up and test it on my CBAIII so i'm comparing apples to apples, but it looks promising to me. I'm always looking for the best possible quality batteries. The only thing i wouldn't be able to readily test is which one has the most charge/discharge life cycles.

Yep, the Panasonic 3100mAh Li-Ions are generally considered the best round cells you can buy. They're often used in top-of-the-line battery packs for laptop computers. They have pretty good drain, 6A, but that could still be a little short if you want to run a booster mod at max output. The IMR 18650s are good for over 12A drain, but they have almost half the charge capacity.

Yes it was a protected flat top, from the same 2011 test that was linked to.

Back in the day those were the cells that Nuck liked for his Fistpack from his testing.

These cells are interesting. They are made to be charged to 4.35V. The problem being a special charger is needed.
