Best 21700 batteries for vaping regulated at 90 watt?

I have ordered a dual 21700 Squid Industries regulated mod and I will be vaping it at around 90 watts. What battery will be safe and give me the most vaping time without having to recharge my batteries?

I don" go that high but I've been using Samsung INR21700-30T and 40T. I think you should be fine.

I guess I will need a 2 batteries with at least a 15A CDR each. I was doubting between the P42A and the Molicel M50A. I would prefer a high capacity cell
of around 5000 Mah but i don’t know if that would be compatible with the wattage i want to vape at and even if it would be possible I’m not sure if it would be the smart thing to do. I just want to vape as long as i possibly can with 2*21700/20700’s.

The key to finding the best battery for you is one that can handle enough AMPS and gives you the longest runtime (mAh).

So as an exapmle, if at your vaping style you draw no more than say 20 amps and you have the following 2 choices for batteries...

Battery 1 - 30A max, 4000mah
Battery 2 - 40A max 3000mah

Then battery 1 will be best for you because 30A is way above you 20A max vaping style and you gain an extra 1000mah (more runtime between charges).

Look at the next-to-last column in this list of reputable batteries to choose from.

An easy way to know what CDR batteries you need is to take your wattage and divide it by 3.

Your setup:
90w/3 = 30A
Since you're using 2 batteries, divide that by 2
= 15A

The 4000MAH P42A with its 30A CDR is of course way above what you need. But the higher MAH M50A has only a 15A CDR so it's right on the limits if you want to use it at 90 watts

Agreed, although I'd add a note about 'right on the limits' vaping. If you're vaping at or near the limits of a cell, you won't get the full benefit of its capacity. If you have a choice between a 4000 mAh cell with a CDR that exceeds your needs and a 5000 mAh cell that's right at the limit, the 4000 mAh cell is likely to last longer despite the lower nominal capacity.

Sounds good. A pair of 30A cells will easily provide the current you need and they should offer the best runtime for you.

The Molicel P42A is unusual as it has one of the lowest internal resistances of all 21700 cells, which also makes it one of the most efficient 21700 cells.
