MBV is cheap and good but to me I wanted a little bit more than cheap and good so I switched to Mister-E-Liquid.

MBV: $5/15ml good flavor with $15 order you get a 15ml bottle of juice of their choosing. Cool, but I didn't like the flavor they sent. Received 9 flavors from MBV liked 2 gave away 7.
MEL: $10/18ml great flavor with every order you get a 3ml sample of their current tester flavor. Received 9 flavors from MEL, vaped all 9 only 1 I wouldn't reorder because I do not like the chocolate vapes all that much. But I finished the whole bottle.
Local Vendors: Bought 5 only liked 1. Threw 3 away.

Now I know taste is subjective and people will like something others do not but to me the % I liked from MEL compared to what I didn't like is impressive. I will be tasting a few other vendors this summer and if they are better than MEL then I will come back here and update.

Is there a good guide anywhere that helps noobs figure out how to DIY?

This is the thread that I started out with: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1097220

There is also an entire sub-forum dedicated to just diy. It seems pretty intimidating at first, I know I was, but in reality it is quite simple. It takes me less than 5 minutes to make a bottle of juice that easily last me an entire week.

The supplies that are bare minimum to get started:
- syringe for measuring the proper amount of juice.

- pg/vg I buy all my supplies from ecigexpress which sells a 50/50 mixture; in reality this should be all you need. Feel free to get whatever mix you prefer.
- nic juice - I'd start out with their 60mg and cut down. For me, I like my nic at 20mg. So for a 12ml bottle 1/3 (4ml) is nicotine and the rest pg/vg and flavoring.
- Flavoring. You can read several reviews in the diy section on the best flavors. To start though, I'd just pick a few flavors that you know you'll really like until you get the mixing down.
- dropper bottles
- e-liquid calculator. If you have a smartphone, there are plenty in the app stores for free.

Really that is it. Your initial buy will cost you under 50$, but you should not have a problem getting 250+ ml of juice out of that. As you get more comfortable, you can start buying in larger quantities saving you even more money.

Everything i've tried from Mt baker is outstanding. $3 for 15mL of concentrate isnt bad at all. I had been using Wizardlabs for awhile but i think Mt Baker's concentrates are a clear cut above wizard labs in quality. Basically the same price too, since the bottles are twice the size. Lorann has a lot of good concentrates too. When you mix your own it comes out to less than $2 per 10mL.
