So I have been building for a while. I was wondering what is the best battery for a hybrid tube mod.
As others have said, the choice of battery depends upon the amp draw of the coil you'll be using. The requirements are the same whether the mechanical mod you are using has a standard 510 connector or a pinless hybrid connector. So I have been building for a while. I was wondering what is the best battery for a hybrid tube mod.
Thank youThat is all going to depend on your build and your mod.
If you're building low (0.14 Ω), I recommend the LG HB6. If you're keeping your builds above 0.2 Ω, a Samsung 25R is fine. Above that, and you can rock an LG HG2.
If you have an 20700 compatible mod, the Sanyo 20700A is good, but hard to find. The Ampking/Ijoy/Golisi/Efest (all 5-leg tops) are good.
Learn your Ohms Law, and lookup Mooch here on ECF (he tests batteries).
Thank youmy first mech was a hybrid.
knew what i was in for and built accordingly for the cells i was using.
i rather enjoy the meticulous process. balancing and calculating. battery knowledge. precise coil building/reading.
the wise folk above have covered it but just hoping you enjoy your journey.
Thanks. I was looking at thoseI think the Sony vtc5a is the best 18650 for everything.....but that's just me. Be careful with the faux hybrid. Lots of potential problems with those. One potential problem that doesn't get mentioned often is overtightening and squashing the positive end of the battery. Any voltage gained with such a connection (extremely minimal) can be found with a traditional connection. It's all in the build. Not really worth the risk if you ask me .
