I'm a beginner trying to experiment with all types of fluid delivery. I have used the eGo Replaceable Clearomizer, Phoenix BC clearomizers, eGo-T and 510-T. Good to great results so far! I'd like to see how a tank system with a punched carto would fare but don't know where to start. I'd love to skip the beginner tanks and punch my own carto and use a 3ml tank. Any suggestions? Start with a Boge? I have eGo batteries and an Innokin iTaste. Thanks!

Boge all the way for me in a 3ml tank. Just make sure you put it in one of the caps and mark it so you know where to punch the holes at.
Which attachment do you use? I was considering drilling mine but the dremel May be even easier
This is what i'm using http://www.amazon.com/Dremel-EZ406-Cut-Off-Mandrel-Cutting/dp/B000FBLRVA just make sure to clean out the metal that the grinder cant get on the sides of the cut with a pin or small screwdriver and you'll be good to go : ) And for thicker juices I notch mine twice.

COV Carto Punch v3 Clouds of Vapor. It dose cost 40$ but its worth every penny! If you Have access to a drill press make you up some kind of jig something as simple as a notched piece of wood is the best no deforming your carts. Do some experimenting when you find the right sized hole get a colbot bit and it will last you for ever. You can punch, or drill 1 2 even 3 holes if you like just play around and see what you like. be careful and don't puncture the inner sleeve uo you will end up with some very bad flooding!
get yourself one of these and a pack of your favorite cartomizers.

I used to slot exclusivly, and now having used both methods, I saw no benefits to slotting other than it's a good way to kill some time if you have any to kill. If you have really high VG then it probably would have benifit. I'm using 50/50 PG/VG Boge cartomizers and DCT tanks.
No edwardko you leave the filler inside. And here is the proper way to prime the tank DCT Dual Coil Tank first time filling - YouTube with this video and PBusardo's video you should be good to go

Rader2146 That is exactly the reason why I started to slot mine. I was having problems with prepunched cartos wicking my Boba's Bounty. Eventually I gave up the pre punched dual coils and switched to Boge SR XL slotted em twice and am getting clouds at 3.8v and loving it
The carto could care less how you punch a hole in it, so use whatever works for you. I just use a saddle valve that I got from Lowe's.
I like Boge cartos, I just have a better "feel" of when the punch penetrates. The Smoktech seem to be a softer steel, and I don't get the same pop that tells me how deep I'm punching it.

Boys and their toys...boys and their toys.Why do you guys bring out the heavy artillery to put a small hole in an itty bitty defensless carto, when a simple little thing like what Iffy showed you will work fine?

In my opinion- Boge is a good brand. Smoketech is also good, but my husband prefers Boge overall.
