I am a landscaper and carry mine in my pocket and truck all day. It gets banged around and tossed and dropped all the time. It has not leaked a drop or broken yet. Actually, I had one break, I stepped in it, but that's the only one. I have 4 in rotation, each with a different flavored juice. I carry all 4 of them during the day. I refill 2 of them every day, sometimes twice, and the other 2 every 3 days. These are the same ones I started with 3 weeks ago and are still performing great. I haven't even cleaned or dry burned one yet. When it gets 3/4 empty, or in the morning, I too it off.

When you figure that the one that I use for mint has been refilled at least 30 times, that's great. I would have thought that sticking the needle in and out would have caused the needle hole to get bigger and rip, but it hasn't and still doesn't leak a drop.

Also, you can fill them/ top them off, without emptying it and opening up. I posted a video teaching people how.

How to refill a Phoenix cartomizer - YouTube

Thanks, a "tank" that I can cary around in my pocket without fear sounds great. I'll have to try them out.

Ok but what does 2.4-2.6ohm mean Mroutlaw?

The Phoenix are available in 2 different levels of resistance, 2.4-2.6ohm and 2.6-2.8. The lower the resistance, the more vapor and the warmer the vapor.

Because the coil is at the bottom of the Clearo, the vapor has a longer distance to travel to get to your mouth. It will cool down as it travels up the tube. You can compensate for this by using the lower resistance ones.

On a top coil, the heating element is closer to your mouth, therefore the vapor will be warmer when it gets to your mouth.

That's why I use the 2.4-2.6 on the bottom coil and the 2.6-2.8 on a top coil. This way, IMHO, the vapor is always the same temp

The 2.4-2.6 is the resistance range of the coil in the cartomizer.
At a given voltage a lower resistance will translate to a higher wattage, more heat, hotter vapor and more drain on the battery. A higher resistance will have the opposite effect.

When using smaller batteries (like an volt) it’s advisable to use resistances in that range (2.4+) as smaller batteries can’t handle the current draw of low resistance devices. Larger capacity batteries can use lower resistance devices.

Same here...I've figured out a lot but not exactly what the ohm is all about and how it relates to battery size, carto size and all that. I have a kgo 1100 battery. I'm sure there are vets that will tell us catjoyy :2cool:

Your Kgo (1100mah) can handle low resistance and standard resistance devices. What resistance you use is a personal choice. If you like a warmer vape, then go with a LR device, if you like a cooler vape go with a SR (standard resistance) device. Both work fine with the Kgo.

I like a cooler vape so I use SR (standard resistance 2.5-3.0 ohm devices), but that's just my preference and many go with the low resistance devices.

My suggestion: get Boge Cartos from surevapes. 5 packs of 5 cartos for $23 shipped. When they start to taste funny, pitch them, if you do the math, they are like 92 cents a piece.......... Or you can flush them with a syringe and a piece of latex tubing that you can get from Lowes for $2 attached to the syringe and the other end to the carto. That's how I clean mine if I don't pitch them. Shop Watts 1' x 3/8" Latex Latex Hose at Lowes.com

I am the same way. Anything top coil,I use a 2.8ohm. The only reason I use the 2.4-2.6 on the bc Phoenix is because it is so long and that little bit if difference makes up for the length

I tried the 1.8ohm on the vivi nova and it was too warm for me.

Also, there is no noticeable difference in battery life between the 2.4-2.6 and 2.7-2.8. Using it on the small si volt battery I still get the same time between charges. If you do the math, it equates to maybe 20 less 3 second puffs.

But yes, anything lower than a 2.4 and you run the risk of frying your battery if the battery is less than 450mah

Nice to see another "cool vaperer" :D
While many here love the LR devices, I just find them too hot for my taste even with a drip tip to extend the chamber and cool it down a bit.

I've been enjoying your posts (and video's) immensely because we seem to like a lot of the same things.
It’s great that you are so generous with your time here to help others out.

Thank you. The videos are my way of PIF . I am enjoying doing them and like that other people may but have to go through what we all went through

Have you ever thought about switching to the bottom coil phoenix from gotvapes? It looks like a cartomizer and is the same shape, however it doesnt have fill. They dont leak a drop and have a great vape. They last a very long time and can be easily cleaned.

If you do want to stay with a cartomzier with fill, I suggest the cartomizers that smokeless image sells. They are horizontal bottom coil. They dont burn nearly as easily as other companies. I have a video on youtube that actually teaches how to turn one into a drip tester. In the video, I show the difference between the smokeless image and other cartomizers by showing you the inside. How to make your own Juice tester with an old cartomizer - YouTube

I personally would not bother trying to boil them. Its hit or miss as to whether they will work after. Try using similar flavors in them if you really want to use a different juice in one. Or better yet, take a look at the phoenix. One of my videos discusses that too.

As far as how long a carto lasts, that depends on your juice. High PG and dark juices will make it go bad faster. The thicker the juice, the more it "gunks" up. With the smokeless image one, I was able to refill them over and over. They lasted me about 1 month using 70vg/30pg juice

I LOVE the Smokeless Image carts! Thanks for the recommendation! Sad to say the my Eilte 800 does not work with the Phoenix.:( What kind of battery should I get for it? Don't want to spend a lot - my husband already thinks I am going overboard with juices etc.

Do you want a kit or just a fat battery. That would help us steer you in the right direction
