I'm pretty new to vaping so please bear with me. So i have an Ego 900mah battery and an iclear 16 dual coil clearo. I feel like i'm not getting the amount of vapor i should be from the Ego setup. To make matters worse, i'm comparing the amount of vapor production to the only other thing i have which are the v2 cigalikes. Believe it or not the vapor production with the v2's is great. I tried some of the same juice thats in the clearo in my v2 carts and still the v2 had more vapor. Do i need a different clearo or a better battery to use with the iclear 16? Please someone shed some light on this for me

More vapor comes from more wattage. Do you know what the ohms rating of the iClear 16 is? You can get different rated coils for that. It could be that you have a 2.8 ohm coil in the iClear and a 2.2 ohm carto in your V2's. The other factor is voltage. Without knowing which eGo you have - there are a few :) or the voltage on the batt of your V2, then it's hard to tell. Some non-variable eGo's run at a regulated 3.4 Volts underload (with a carto/atty/clearo attached) and some run at 3.7 Volts underload. That difference in voltage plus the difference there may be in the ohms of the coils used can make a big difference in wattage.

yeah the heads in the clearo are 1.5ohm. As far as the batt i'm not really sure which one i have(btw all the parts are clones i think). After doing some research, i wonder if my battery is keeping the 1.5ohm heads from performing at their full potential?

Joye eGos do better at 1.7-1.8 ohm at the low end on anything but Joye coils. For some reason, they can do 1.5ohm Joye attys, but no so good on dual coils below 1.7. Clones can be better or worse on that account. If size is a consideration you might want to try out an innokin iTaste VV V3.0 or just get a Kanger coil for the eGo. 1.8ohm T3S works well with eGo's with much vapor. Going that way is cheaper.

And if you get replacement coils along with the Kanger T3S - get the 1.8 ohm coils for strong flavors and the 2.2 ohm coil for lighter flavors. The 2.4-2.6 ohm coils are too light for my lighter flavors, so I avoid them.

Awesome. Thanks a ton Kent. I just wish all this experimentation didn't cost so much! Lol. I'm still certain it's better than smoking so oh well. Thanks again for all the info!

It costs a lot at first (but a fraction of what it costs to smoke) but once you find the right hardware for you (as long as you don't chase the 'latest and greatest') and the right flavors, then the cost factor drops significantly. I've used eGos for over four years now and Kanger T3's and T3S since they came out about three years ago now. I also DIY my own eliquid. What 'costs' is finding out what you DON'T like ...but you can ring that up as 'educational expense' :D
