Greetings to the Gods Of vaping!

I will soon acquire a vaporshark RDNA 40 and since i am very new to Variable Wattage, and i'm mostly a dripper type of guy, i would like to know your best dripper builds so i can experiment with different types of wires. my current setup is a dripper with 5 loops Gauge 22 wire fired on a TI Chip Variable voltage mod.

Also, what are your thoughts on using this nickel NI200 wire? is it really just hype or are u able to maximize the full power of your RDNA 40 mods.

Cheers! appreciate your inputs masters =)

You won't need your 22ga for your rDNA. The build depends on the atty. If I'm using a dna40 for a dripper, I'm probably around .7 ohms with .26 ga. I prefer spaced coils on a 2-2.5 mm rod.
In temp mode, you dont need full power. It doesn't work like that. I'm usually around 20w when using nickel. All more power does is make you hit temp protection faster.

I'm not familiar with the atty....thinner wire works great! I just hate building with it. I've heard .28ga has the best flavor. I have no idea how true that is but I like .26 or .24. I do like .26 better. Some folks swear by .30. Build what you want and use the power settings to find what you like. My favorite builds are boring and simple but they perform perfectly for me. You might think they suck. :D

Love my sharks with the 40 chip! To me it's just a different vape experience. Nice flavorful coolish clouds. I have not put a ni200 build in a dripper yet but have been playing the tank nickel game for a while now. Like to try it in a dripper as well! I like 28ga ni200 easy to work with, 30 and 32 work well twisted. .015-.017 @22-23W.

Yummy goodness!

I prefer it in a tank myself. Although, I put a single coil in a cyclone RDA on my sunbox squonker. Amazing.

The sweet spot is up to you....maybe start with 10/11 wraps each coil , on a 2.5mm bit. Work it out from there? You might think my "sweet spot" is crap.

I've been doing twisted builds with ni200 in my drippers. I usually start with 30 - 34 gauge wire, twist two wires together, and then take that twisted wire and twist it around itself. So I end up with a 4 wire twisted build with lots of surface area and tons of little ridges to wick in the juice. Usually 8 - 10 wraps at 3mm gets to 0.1 ohms. Spaced coils. Unfortunately the coil build calculators out there don't seem to understand this twisting style, so reading the resistance on the mod is the best way to go.

If I am doing a dual coil build, I'll use a 2 wire twist, or maybe a 3, and more wraps. But I've found the best flavor / thickness of vapor comes from a single coil on the DNA 40 with ni200. (although the dual chimney build in my magma is working quite well)

The great thing about twisted ni200 is that it is much much sturdier than regular ni200 wire. No problems with the coil distorting or the spaces closing when re-wicking, and I've never cut the twisted wire in the post holes. My go-to build right now is so strong that I can hit the coil fairly hard with the top cap while pulling it off or putting it on without doing any damage to the coil.

Thank you Vape Masters for the inputs....will try and experiment with thin wires and see the difference it makes. Vape On!

Grab some Spider Silk Wire by Envy. It's Titanium wire, which takes the best of both nickel & kanthal.

I agree with the post above 10/11 wraps but I use a M3 screw.

I have another question vape masters...once you do nickel builds, just like any other vaper we do a test fire right? to ensure that all coils are glowing red and there are no hotspots. can you do a test fire on an RDNA 40 or should i build my atomizer on a standard tube mod and test fire to see the results?. im just worried that when i do a fresh test fire on the RDNA, it'll screw up the readings on the chip (although i am aware that the readings on DNA devices are only estimates not accurate figures) please enlighten me vape sirs...

I was wondering how much money you were paying for the rDNA. I'm only asking because it saw a huge price drop today.

your're right sir Oberon, actually i pre-ordered mine and paid for the standard retail price even before this discount came out...if id known that this discount was announced earlier, i could've joined my other friends in a group buy to get this mod for a steal price. i believe that the retail price is 189 $ and sadly that's what ill be paying for due next month

Are you buying directly from Vapor Shark? I would contact them and see if you could get a price adjustment. I saw them post on their Facebook page that they would adjust the price for people who bought it within the last seven days.
