Oh heck no! He told me a few months..last month..:glare: I cannot wait for the feeding frenzy.

Unfortunately, that's a "no" on the woodvils. Every time he puts any up on the site, or even makes one, one of several woodvil hoarders snatches it up :) I won't name any names, but their initials are Mamatried, Nerak, etc. :) :) :)

(Just ribbin' ya, guys, I love the look of the woods, but I'm a mech kinda guy myself. And I get no end of amusement watching the frenzy when there's wood to be had)

Ya, I knew this and was joking. Mainly cuz I thought I could just pop on his website when I got my first one and order up a VV Woodville and quickly learned A) VV's are discontinued and B) getting a Woodville is similar to getting a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket.

But..I do like the fact that I can maybe email him for maybe a different color combo on an LP Grand if I don't see it on his website cuz I have a weird combo in mind I'd like. ;)

Congrats. Good order and damn there's some helpful people up in here ain't there?

Torching - I did it, stopped doing it, did it again for a while now I no longer do it.

The trick is to wrap with as much tension on the wire as possible.

Here's a little series of vids I made - skip the torching part though. It's totally unnecessary :)

Making the coil:
Option 1 ( the one I use all the time )
MICRO COILS 101 - PART 1 MAKING THE COIL USING THE COIL GIZMO - YouTube

Option 2 (works well too but harder to keep track of wrap count):
outdated - Micro Coils 101 - Part One - Making The Tightest Coil You've Ever Made - YouTube

Mounting the coil:
MICRO COILS 101 - PART 2 MOUNTING THE COIL - YouTube

Wicking:
MICRO COILS 101 - PART 3 WICKING USING KOH GEN DO JAPANESE ORGANIC COTTON - YouTube

And here's an older vid but it may also help :)

REOmizer 2 / RM2 / RBA 2.0 Build To Get You Started - YouTube

Trust me you can rebuild. I know that because I can and I'm prolly the last person you would think should rebuild anything :)
Woot..better get watching. Now I have my woodvil and a new one haha!:rickroll::rickroll::rickroll: So I ordered the spindally thing you showed in your video to wrap the coils, but I still don't have a set of small screwdrivers{so I can work the screw on the atty. What do you suggest?

You will need a small set of drivers to work the screw posts. If you have a lowes nearby, I highly recommend this little set:

It should serve you well for any / all RBA needs, very easy to change bits and very comfortable to hold.

If that's not your style, you can find individual small size drivers at lowes and Home Depot.
