The rba gives me the best flavor, but I use the .5 occs also. I really prefer the new vertical occs, but the original are awesome too imo. I just do not like the 1.2 or 1.5 ohm at all. The flavor and clouds come from the .5 ohm. Do you build at all? If not, everything is there for you, just need to wick the rba! Hopefully it's the new rba plus with the airholes.

There seems to be conflicting information between some peoples preference between the 0.5 & 1.2 Ohm. The problem that I see with the vertical OCC is the inability to rebuild it.
Yeah, I never got into rebuilding the occs. I get them from fasttech for $2 a pop and they last a long time for me anyway. I have like 4 packs of them right now lol. I've never really liked the 1.2. It tastes and performs great, until I start getting dry hits. I literally NEVER get dry hits from the .5 or the rba plus. I'm not sure what it is honestly. I know it can't handle the higher wattage, but even at lower wattage, I'd get burnt and dry hits with the 1.2. Same with the 1.5 vertical. Whether it's my fault or the occ, I don't ever want to see an occ above 1 ohm again lol. I'd just build on the rba if I wanted something above 1 ohm.I bought the Black one with the new RBA.

So far the 1.2 have been fine for me with lots of VG but I'm usually pretty conservative on wattage.
What wattage do you use with the 1.2? I was going as low as 12-13 watts, and still getting burnt hits. I'm not a huge cloud chaser, but I just can't get that satisfying vape with the 1.2. Clearly they work for others considering they've been in production for over half a year lol.
Dan, are they genuine Kanger coils ? Seeing that you bought them from Fasttech, they might be Subtank " style " coils. Just a thought. Back in the day before i re-built, the coils i got from Fasttech where hit and miss.
No definitely authentic! I'm ocd about that stuff lol. I suppose maybe I just chain vape too much and they don't handle it like the .5? Idk, long story short I do not like them! That's just me though.

you're just a sub-ohmer at heart then probably. I tend to vape like Thunder, 10-15 watts depending on pg/vg ratio and shorter puffs ( 3 seconds or less ).
Yes. That's it. I'm just so used to .5 occs that the others don't do it for me. That's probably the only reasonable answer. I wrap to .8 in the rba, that's my absolute sweet spot. Maybe DJLEC would get better answers from someone who uses both, or had better experience with the +1 ohm coils. I still only vape around 20 watts. I'm a strange vaper I suppose.

Weird. I'm using the 1.2 now (for the last 3 weeks since I ran out of .5s) with Charlie noble 80 VG at 20 watts (and I chain vape) and never a dry hit, ever. I hardly notice a different between the 1.2 at 20w and the .5 at 25w. Interesting.
I liked your post even though it was @AllElseFailed who paid you the fine compliment. However, from my short time here, I can easily agree with honest and real!
And just my two cents since I'm seeing all the seduce juice ads, I'd skip them. Taste like sucralose to me. Unless you use artificial sweeteners, but I don't so I'm very sensitive to them. Yuck.
