Everyone has a different goal in mind with the switch to vaping from analogs. I started vaping to stop smoking and my goal is to stop vaping eventually. In the mean time, I want to enjoy tasty vapes and fun gear..but I don't want to break the bank quitting. I like this thread which leads me to some great juices to make my journey all the more pleasurable and I have gotten some top notch recommendations here. If vaping forever is your plan, go for it. If advanced vaping is where you need to go, go for it. Just stay off of the analogs friends. Thanks for all the input on this thread that has guided me into gourmet juice selections, but also in smart gear purchases. They definitely go hand in hand. I love this thread. I haven't found it off topic one bit.

See, no offense Jonathan, but this is what I hate. Guys start to talk all this..'you need a torch and you have to flame the coil'..all this talk intimidates us girls.
Chad said it the other night. You need a drill bit (or something else similar in size) small crochet needle or I use a very large industrial size sewing needle. You do have to have some wick and you can buy Peaches and Cream white yarn at Walmart (boil and dry it)
You hold the appropriate amount of yarn against the needle (for structure) and wrap 5 times-pull the needle out and attach the ends of the wire to your screws in the dripper. If you want to change your wick you can pull out that yarn and insert some cotton (boiled and dried) up in the shape that would fee into the coil you made.

The one thing I think you have to buy online is the Kanthal wire and lots of these online vape store have it. I have 30 gauge.
You have to have an OHM reader to test the coil you make but if you have a device that reads OHMs you use that.

There you go girl tell em the easy way. I wrap my coil first on the same screwdriver I use for the screws on my IGO-L most of the time just for quick and easy then wrap the wires around the screws one turn each. Screw them down as I go with the same screw driver. Put it on my MVP check ohms, test fire, squish up and twirl a piece of sterile cotton small enough to fit into the coil. Put the cotton through the coil, fluff it back up a bit, saturate with ejuice, pop the top back on lining the air hole up in front of the coil. Proceed to vape juice savoring the best flavor you've ever had from said juice after about the 2nd hit! Ready to switch flavors pull out the cotton, tap the fire button till your coils glow and burn off any juice, wipe off deck with a paper towel and resaturate..Ive never bothered with a torch although I am getting ready to start trying to rewire the protank heads and Ive heard that is easier with a torch on the tiny long coil but was told a plain old lighter will do.

PS***I am not great at this myself yet but if anyone wants to learn, especially if your just sitting on the equipment out of fear!! Id be happy to facetime/Skype and show you how I do it!!

Yes, the Mvp2 does not come fully charged. Once you put it on its charger it will stay green...when there is NO color it is fully charged and will reset your number of vapes. Honestly I love this big blocky thing...I paid twice as much for my SVD and I rarely use it. Remember NEVER charge any ecig from a computer or car....only a wall with its intended charger. I do not want to ever hear of one of my ecf friends being disfigured.

Don't real men pick black or polished steel?
Mostly...or carbon fiber...
And...there's annodized aluminum
Or color case hardened steel...
Or wood grain..
Or marble or stone...

Me I'm partial to the combinatio of purple black and silver...
If my mod didn't have a lifetime warranty on the finish, I'd totally send it in to be dipped to match my welding helmet (purple and silver ghost flames on a black background)
My favorite corset I made, I dyed the leather in a purple and black lace pattern wilth silver tribal angel wings on the back...

Considering a torch?.....kitchen section of the store...creme brule torch...compact, trigger style auto light, refillable butane, stands up easily....

I have been lookin at reos myself... vmod has introduced me to bottom fed mods, n i love my vmod. Reo is like a mil spec version of it, lol

I was surprised at the weight of the MVP at first, but I don't even notice it now. I like it so much i got two, love the long battery life! and you can even charge your phone off of your MVP! It's all I use now. I have a black brushed finish one (my fav) and the blue one. I thought of wrapping it S140
S11
But I could buy juice with that money! IDK, I think it looks ok the way it is, and it doesn't roll off the table, and if you build you can test your ohms with it to.

what I really want one day is the REO, supposed to be the most reliable, sturdy, no fuss mod there is, since it's bottom fed it's like the flavor of dripping all the time, and I love the design, it's kind of mid century modern, reminds me of Mondrian painting:
REO

or you can go all nouveau with it

or anarchy

I like this one best though

and they also make a little mini one http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8239/8571831963_1c368cbbcb_b.jpg

;) some day....

Hi, six weeks into vaping, and just now moving up to some of the better juices. I got my first order from Namberjuice yestrday (Tom's Vanilla Peppermint, Moot's Juice, and Mistress), and I need to ask about steeping. Each has a "born" date on the label, and would I count elapsed time as time spent steeping? Two say January and one says December...and I'm dying to try them! :p

There are some aspects of coilbuilding where a torch is mandatory, ekowool or mesh has to have one, and it sterilizes the kanthal and silica as well. Not to mention taking the temper out of the wire so it doesnt spring back. Like i said, once you start doin gennies, you will understand the need for a torch, lmao

OK so I am trying my IGO-W on my vamo and its reading 1.1 ohms...good bad or ugly? And the Vamo is displaying "Lo" Ohms :-S

Wish I had stayed up to help with this. Went to bed after posting pics. Your coil is wrong and perhaps you jostled it when taking off the cap. They are sensitive. Also you might not have it fastened on tight enough or too tight?

Lavender! Thank you! You gave a brief description better than I did but exactly what I meant to say.
I hate to hear this..."gotta go into the forest, slay a dragon, twist off his head' yada yada..it is not that complicated and it should not be mad too sound so complicated. I think it probably could get complicated but that is not what we are talking about here.

Hi Penny Lynn
If they were 'born' in Jan and Dec they are good to go. Steep time is usually 14-21 days. Some do 'cap off' time to let an alcohol evaporate.
I would fire 'em up!
Welcome to our thread and let us know what you are vaping and how it taste!

Sounds like not enough wraps. Probably one more but if your reading ohms you've already slayed the dragon!!
