Petbe,
I agree with ya bout the Janty penstyle(801) atomizer, All tho, I use the Joye 302 Penstyle atty, that is very similar to the janty version... but that is my go to atty. I keep a stock of 20 or so of them, because they are great at 6 volts or 3.7volts and last a good amount of time....

510 for me, is hit or miss.... Some vape great, Some not so much..... Sometimes ya have the metal taste, on a brand new atty, and you cant shake it.... That happens a lot on 510.... Also the difference on air flow from 510 to 510 bothers me... Its never the same, some pull tighter then others.... I like being able to pull fairly easy.....but some feel too tight...

901 also to me is hit or miss.... I love them when they work right... but they are far and few....and there prime is a very short time.... then it is just down hill from there... Just my experiences with them...

I still use all atty types... including the 306, be112, carts, 510, 901, joye 302, 801 ...... And I got my favorites, but I like to switch it up.... Joye 302 is still my go to...

I dont think the days are far off now when we will see some new non Chinese atomisers. There are lots of people, all over the world working on ideas right now to revolutionise this one component which constantly lets us down.

I am fully aware that my problems with flavour via the GGTS/AVS, have nothing to do with the GGTS/AVS at all, it can't possibly have anything to do with it, it has to be the atomiser.

And these days, as Tim also mentions, there are so many brands, but no real consistency of quality.

Tim it's reassuring to read your findings on these atomisers, and see you have had similar experiences to me.

Re the 302, I tried that in the days when the Janty Stick was my main outdoor vape, and it wouldnt work in that, hence back to the old Classic. These days I'm happy with the Mega XL or LR Cartomisers.

And... its the LR Cartos I am desperate to try on the 510 adapter with the AVS.

Just to further the discusion (and hopefully inspire the crafting geniouses like imeo :) ) : Up untill now all the different atomizers had a shape constraint forced upon them due to the need of e-cig to look like an analog. Thus we ended with small tube shaped atomizers like 510 / 901 etc etc. But with box mods and bigger tube mods like the ggts I don't believe we need this constraint anymore (remember that the mouthpiece that actually goes into our mouths is a separate part).

The basic equation of the e-cig is: Power Source (batteries) + Heat Source (atomizer) = Vapor (e-liquid)/
So for example I can imagine an atomizer with the dimensions of the collector tank. This would make things much easier and I believe would answer many problems that current atomizers have. Plus it would allow the implementation of totally different designs (like having a wire mesh which heats up and produces the vapor inside the collector tank chamber).

p.s. Imeo if your looking for ceramic manufacturer / provider in Greece P.M. me (here or in the greek forum) the specifics and we can talk ... I am more than happy to look it up for you (hint: what you are looking for you will find it in the medical field ;) )

I agree with you Polioud, but those restrictions are slowly being lifted, hence I mentioned the XL mega atty that I use from time to time, it has a cart that holds 2.5ml and breaks away from tradition.

And we are seeing more and more ceramics appear in cartomisers, so its only a question of time, and time moves very fast in the ecig industry.:)
