First and foremost- My REO mini is my go-to PV. It goes wherever I go, and as a Trucker that's alot of Go ! For durability, ease of use and Vapor/ Flavor production I am quite happy with my little mini ( a LR 510 1.5 ohm atty makes it kick ! ).
I have become curious of all the buzz about Variable Voltage, seems to be the rage. Two eGo twist 1100 seem to be about the same price as a Gripper. Hear about a LavaTube (?), but haven't done any research yet. Provari Owners seem to be proud of thier 'investment', but I'd rather wait to see what the VV Woodvil actually becomes. So, my question is; what is a really good Intro PV for someone who wants to try Variable Voltage ? Would prefer adjustable settings over stacked batteries, and would like to keep price for 1st VV under $100. Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks:unsure:

I bought a lavatube clone from My Vapor Store, I think they call it the m-vari. i got the 18650, but they sell a mini with 18350 IMR batteries. The kit is $74.95, comes with the body, two batteries, two 3ohm atomizers, and a charger. I have enjyoyed it very much since purchased in April. I have had no problems with it at all, and hooked me on VV. I now have a VV Gripper, and two Ego twists. I would say though that the M-vari was the best bang for the buck. Oh ya, if you think that LR atty works well at 3.7v. Put it on a lavatube at 4.2v, sweet jesus. I have tanks, cartos, rebuildables, and even a RAtank that I use as a Genesis, but I still go back for Dripping my debridged, dewicked LR atty. Just my opinion, good luck, sounds like you got the bug. From what I understand too that VV woodvil is off the chain.

You really cant beat the price of 2 Ego-Twist Batts, if you search around you can find the 1000mAh for somewhere around $23-$25ea or so, and to have VV in an Ego Form factor is quite awesome. In reality you need to look at the Amp limit though for max performance they only have a 2-2.5 Amp limit, and something like the new VMax v4 with its 5 amps maximum output is one that's priced right for around $90 and a nice inexpensive unit, so is the newest gripper,,, it all boils down to what fits you needs best IMHO and what you like best and what your going to put on top of it..

For an introduction I'd go with the Twist, use regular ohms with it though, your LR will put extra stress on the battery and limit the range.

For $50 and over you've got several choices in box mods, some will even handle DC or anything you through at it with full VV range. Most of not all of them are plastic, the Twist would probably be a better choice for constantly on the go.
