I have no problem creating a coil on a 4/40 machine screw and wicking with 4 strands of 1mm silica. I have also wicked with 3mm silica.

I have no gurgles, excellent vapor, etc, but wish to maximize flavor. Just redid a perfect T3 with a bad coil. Have tried various "flavor" wicks, but cannot reproduce the original great flavor. I've tried (1) 3mm flavor wick, (2) 1mm flavor wicks.

Any suggestions? I'm more interested in flavor than massive vapor production.

I rewicked my T3 several times yesterday. Used various wick size combinations. Tried forming coil on 4/40 machine screw, winding coil wire with and without pin, using 4 pieces of 1mm silica for coil wick, 1 piece 3mm silica for coil wick and various pieces of wick for "flavor" wicks.

My conclusion and solution was hand winding the coil wire as in the attached link, using 3mm silica for coil wick and 2 pieces of 1mm silica for "flavor" wicks. Plugged one of the three air intake holes with a piece of toothpick. I used 5 coil winds of A1 43 guage kanthal for 1.8mh measured on my Vamo. I am vaping at 5-5.5 vw.

Good flavor and vapor. No leaks or gurgles. Spent the time to experiment, as I have a Pro tank on order that I plan to rewick. It also shows the best way I've found to insert the insulating grommet.

Can anyone tell me the best supplier for coil wire and wick? I too have a pro tank on the way, and a bunch of T3s and Vivi Novas that could use a refurbishing. It's been a couple months now, so I think I'm ready to give this rebuild thing a shot.

Bought mine at:

Wire: Tank electronic cigarette | Tank electronic cigarettes Kanthal Wire A1-32 Gauge 100'
3mm and 1mm silica on ebay.

Have to say the last T3 rebuild is even better than original. More taste, etc.
