Hi!

Been a vaper for quite a while now - but there comes a time in many vapers lives when they just have to upgrade and do something new - and where else to learn about new things than ECF

About me - I dont like rebuilding - I can - but I hate it- I have no patience for it

So I use clearos - and I really really need some quick recommendations please

Up until recently I was still stuck in the world of carto tanks, vivi novas, subtanks and the like - but as I went looking for illusive, now ancient coils/ atomizers, because my stash has been running really low, the thought suddenly struck me like a revelation from above ...

Try something new!

and so I did -

I bought the big and little baby tanks who like babies can be really very good when they are good - or horrid when they are not (dont even start on the coils I have thrown out for burnt taste or the annoyance playing around with them when they leak mildly )

But over all they have been an eye opener for me - when they are good I find they are what vaping should have been for me all along

I have since also tried the Prince tank- which I didnt like cause although I like a warm vape - It kinda felt as though I needed to boil the juice before the tank came into its own (thankfully that one belongs to a friend and not me) OMG how do some people vape that hot?!?

I have ordered the revvo which will get to me in a couple of weeks (hopefully at the rate they seem to be discontinuing stuff these days I will still be able to get more coils to stock up on if I like it :) )

But was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good subohm type clearo where coils are readily available- Thanks to the baby I am loving having some clouds and a little flavor - and am still amazed how far premades have come...

I tend to switch my vaping style often which the baby allows me to do from MTL to DL type vaping and I like my vapor warm and thick (I use alot of heavy custard/ vanilla based juices )

I just think it would be good to try a few different ones before I spend a small fortune on coils

Any and all ideas would be appreciated

Thanks in Advance

This has become my favorite tank, the ORIGINAL Uwell Crown Authentic Uwell Crown Sub Ohm Tank Clearomizer . Both the tank and coils are readily available almost everywhere.

Technically it is a sub-ohm tank, but you don't have to sub-ohm with it. It has 1.2 ohm coils available for it as well as sub-ohm coils. It is an easy top fill (4ml capacity). It has a ratcheted air control ring which allows both a wide open direct-lung draw down to a tight mouth-to-lung draw.

It has a wide bore mouthpiece, but you can always replace it with any inexpensive small bore mouthpiece if you desire. I don't like metal mouthpieces so I replaced it with a delrin tip.

Great flavor, a lot of vapor. Very versatile for just about any style of vaper. (I use the 0.5 ohm stainless steel coils)

* There are the Crown 2, 3, and Valarian tanks by Uwell, but I never bothered to "upgrade" because "if the original ain't broke, why fix it?" I've seen "mixed reviews" for the newer tanks.

Tip: About once a week, put a Q-tip through the mouthpiece down into the coil area. Coils naturally accumulate a bit of gunk from unvaporized sugars in the e-liquid, and removing this substance will prolong the life of the coils. I get up to 4 weeks with my coils.

Hang on let me grab a coffee... (I would make you all one but its a bit hard sending them through the internet *notices also a lot of different like buttons and thinks that this will take a bit of getting used to .... :) )

Ok - I have my coffee!

Thankyou for your warm welcome - I knew that ECFens would know something a little about the latest and greatest things- Cause like this is ECF dammit!

I will def put in an order for a crown and a crown mini three (Its good to try both sizes anyhows before settling) Also love the tip about using the Q- tip to prolong the coils life - its a good tip

Actually I did see the subtank being sold - but bypassed the idea cause of this tangent of mine to try different things- Its just that I had been using the original subtank since it had come out and not really kept up with the changes if any to it (I had alot of coils!) - So subtank fore me personally is a little like dating someone out of convenience for too long - It was there - there were not really many other choices - it was convenient - it may have even transformed into a butterfly since I started with it - but bc it was out of convenience and not love but I never really noticed or looked if it transformed into something better or not -

I can say though - subtank had been timeless for me when I needed it to be

Anyhoo Thanks again for the warm welcome and the suggestion for a crown tank - I had better get onto these shops and see what there is to see

Thanks again! :D

You can also consider the Tobeco super tank. Simple, inexpensive, and takes any Atlantis style coil, which means a ton of compatible coils from different manufacturers. You can find everything from subohm to ceramic to mtl 1.8 ohm coils. Makes it simple to find drop in coils from all sorts of vendors.

Vaporesso Estoc Tank | Sub Ohm Tanks | VaporBeast

Vaporesso Estoc Mega.

For me, the range between 35 - 40 Watts is the sweet spot for vapor production and flavor. This tank does great right in the middle. It's better than the Kanger Top- or Subtank Mini and the coils are stupid cheap at about $8 for a 5-pk. The coils are long lasting.

The Estoc is the only one of about 10 active setups I have that takes drop-in coils. All the rest are drippers or RTA's.

You can also check out the ego ONE mega v2 tank. The clr coils are incredible....you can re wick them easily and rebuild with ss316 if you like. And its a decent tank at a very decent price! I also have a couple of those and use them with the titanium clr coils in temperatre control, the flavour is mind blowing....
